Where did these knickers come from?

I've found them in my underwear drawer.

They're similar to my usual ones (plain black no VPL) but are a different size and a brand I've never bought.

DH does the laundry in this house so I have to assume he put them there when putting clean washing away. But, how did they get in the laundry in the first place?

We have two teen boys but no regular girlfriends afaik (older one has friends who are girls).

DH very occasionally goes away on business but they're not affair undies and even when I look for them I can't see any signs of anything untoward there.

We've occasionally given a key to tradesmen.

I can't think of anything else

Talking of 'affair knickers', I don't have those as such but I do only wear nice ones now. I keep three pairs of cotton monstrosities for that time of the month but the minute that menopause hits, they'll be going in the bin - and I'll really hope that they don't end up in some other woman's draw somehow!

Are you sure it's not an old pair of your own that's somehow been brought back into circulation? I couldn't be certain that I've never bought supermarket knickers similar to my favourite M&S ones at some point in my life since my arse got this big. I'm imagining an emergency purchase scenario.

I have my MIL socks, my SILs socks etc turning up in my washing basket. DH also regularly brings home pants he had borrowed from friends and never returns them. I have found a strange woman's gym kit in my wardrobe. And then there are things that I can't explain until someone reminds me they are mine. Today I found a t-shirt from Glastonbury years ago in a suitcase. I was there but u could swear that I didn't buy it... Although there is probably an easy explication as to why I forgot Wink

I recently managed to pick up a pair of my SIL's knickers without realising after emptying a bag on her sofa while changing DS and apparently scooping up everything in sight afterwards (she had a pile of clean laundry near by). So it can be easily done. I was suspicious for about 30 seconds after finding them til I worked out who they belonged to.

I had an affair before and most of the shagging was pretty spontaneous so I would've been wearing any old knickers.

Teenage boys or do you have a cat? A friends cat regularly brings her flip flops, shoes, pants and socks as gifts. She's asked the neighbours but none have anything missing 😂

poltergeist knicker pickers? a ghost who goes from house to house transporting knickers! or its a time traveller who randomly appeared changed her knickers (well you don't pack do you?) & borrowed a pair of yours & left hers in the laundry! or I wander if your boys have been dressing up (or your husband) when they auditioned for a Christmas show as widow Twanky! (imagination taking off here!!)

Even IF the DH has had an affair why and how would the woman's pants make it back to the OP's drawer? I really doubt they would.

Do you go to the gym or the swimming pool? Could you have picked them up there? Has your sister/friend/mum stayed and they have left them? Do you ever send your clothes out to be ironed or use the launderette? Could they have blown over your fence from your neighbours washing line?

But how does that explain that the OP found them in her underwear drawer?

If someone had planted them as a joke in his bag, the DH would have seen them and disposed of them, not gone and put them in his wife's drawer!

If someone had planted them as a joke in his bag, the DH would have seen them and disposed of them, not gone and put them in his wife's drawer!^

Assume all the washing was emptied into the laundry basket when he arrived home, including the knickers. If someone uses the hotel laundry bags this is really easy, 'affair person' pops them into the bag, bag gets tipped into washing on arrival back home. Laundry is done as usual, knickers get put away with the others and not noticed until OP takes them out to wear thinking they are hers.
