Inspired by the interesting thread asking the opposite question, what food do you really like that's generally hated?

Mine would be raw egg - stirred with salt and pepper, it makes a lovely dip!

Tinned anchovies. I can eat them straight from the tin.

Olives.

Tinned mackerel in tomato sauce.

Capers.

I also love a nice cuppa soup. With Warburtons white bread dunked in it. Preferably chicken and mushroom.

Gherkins
Pickled beetroot
Tofu
Olives
Fry's cream
Dark chocolate
Sprouts
Pickled carrot
Marzipan

When I used to eat dairy - a box of chips, cheese, ketchup and mayo all shaken until it's one big gloopy mess. Divine.

And deep fried pizza drowned in vinegar.

DH used to like tongue sandwiches till he got a bit of pig tusk in one. Grin

I love raw tentacly seafood with lemon or vinegar.

Pork crackling especially if it's still hot!
Marmite
McDonalds gerkins(oh hates them so always gives them to me)
Brussels and cabbage cooked until they are slightly crunchy then covered in mint sauce

Beef super noodles (although just boiled up as they are, I’m not into putting anything else in with it).
Pickled onions
Corned beef
Egg salad cream rolls (mum doesn’t use mayo and I like it both ways anyway but salad cream seems like such a dated food!)

LightastheBreeze · 25/08/2018 19:12

Sprouts
Custard skin - yum
Sliced bread with plasticy cheese squares in

Topseyt · 25/08/2018 19:15

Sprouts, olives and marmite. Not all at once on the same plate though.Wink

Mushy peas has to be with fish and chips

Gerkins

Corned beef. Corned beef hash is delicious

I like my scrambled eggs very lightly cooked so they are very creamy for many it would be undercooked but raw eggs mmm I shall stick to just believing others they are delicious

Love vinegar on sausages that are cooked in the oven and the skin has burnt

I love burnt food

Judging by the queues at IKEA I thought most people liked hot dogs

I love them with that pretend mustard

DaftCat · 25/08/2018 20:26

Someone said Konjac noodles?! I tried them last week, oh my goodness! They’re like eating skin they’re awful! I can eat most things but I left those. Terrible things.
I agree with lots of the things on this thread though, especially Primula cheese spread with ham. Wonderful stuff, that, on a crusty white roll with tomatoes and lots of salt and pepper. Amazing.

Pandoraslastchance · 25/08/2018 20:29

Primula cheese with ham but only straight out the tube into my mouth!!!

PrefabSprouts · 25/08/2018 20:32

I love the bones and skin in a can of salmon. Actually, I love the skin on fresh salmon too.

And I love canned mackerel, especially in sunflower oil.

And olives. I don't thing they're that unpopular though.

I also like Birds Eye battered fish fingers!

burblish · 25/08/2018 20:58

Brussel sprouts (lightly steamed and then pan roasted with butter, salt and pepper to finish)
Gherkins - well, pickled anything really
Beetroot
Vinegar in baked beans
Jacket potatoes with beans, cheese and coleslaw
Ritz crackers topped with peanut butter and half a silverskin pickled onion
Cheese and cucumber sarnies on crap white bread with tons of pepper
Jalapeño poppers/ chilli cheese bites
Jaljeera (an Indian spice mix) mixed with lemon juice and water to make a drink - DH says it smells like a fart in a glass!
