After all the adverts for this new Bodyguard series on BBC, I was thinking I would really like to watch the Beggar Bride Keely Hawes was in.

There’s loads of things I would probably rewatch (if I could find them). I have found the odd thing on YouTube

Any other series you would watch again?

Barriers (1970s , Benedict Taylor , how I swooned)
Updated Tales of the Unexpected might be fun
Updated Hammer House of Horror series too

Also one set in Ashford, with a very young Art Malik . Disappeared or Taken or something . That would be the late 70s, early 80s possibly

There’s a children’s programme called Story Store, it was hilarious and narrated by Alan Bennett (I think). I’d love to see it again. Tried to buy a video off eBay once but it wouldn’t play Sad

This drama on ITV years ago called half broken things. It was so good

Spark house (modern Wuthering Heights)

Utopia but they are remaking it as a US series

I'll think of more Blush

cubscout · 21/08/2018 20:38

Survivors (1980?)
Bouquet of Barbed Wire (1970 something)

tectonicplates · 21/08/2018 20:38

The Cuckoo Sister! It was in the 80s and felt really hard-hitting at the time. There's a few minutes of it here if you skip to 4:29. m.youtube.com/watch?v=H5rhJ3Iljfo

Catspyjamazzzz · 21/08/2018 20:40

Half broken things is on DVD!

I got a Fatal Inversion on DVD I was so desperate to rewatch

All the old gameshows!

Growingboys · 21/08/2018 20:43

There was a horror/sci fi series called The V in the 1980s when I was growing up. It was shocking and brilliant. I'm sure now it would be considered rubbish but at the time it was truly groundbreaking and shocking and I'd love to go back and watch it again.

madvixen · 21/08/2018 20:44

Hamish Macbeth 🙃

Frouby · 21/08/2018 20:47

This Life.

PaigetheRepahite · 21/08/2018 20:49

A drama with Diana Rigg called Mother Love. I remember it as being brilliant, captivating and horrifying all in one.

lizzybennett1926 · 21/08/2018 20:53

Sparkhouse is available on dvd :)

I'd like to rewatch a BBC drama called Pure Wickedness, it had Orla Brady in it as a woman who has affair with her builder or someone. I think it was set in Yorkshire.

Talisin · 21/08/2018 20:53

Leesa65 Oh my god, I thought I was the only one who remembered Barriers. I would love to see that again (I can still whistle the theme tune).

Growingboys get the DVD secondhand, it actually stands up pretty well. Just never watch the full length series they made after that, or the dull as ditchwater reboot from a few years ago.

3catsandcounting · 21/08/2018 20:57

Frouby This Life for me too. DH and I loved it. It was pre-DC for us and now the DCs are teens and forever rolling their eyes when I say "oh look, it's thingy from This Life"!
There's never been anything to match it really.

Talisin · 21/08/2018 20:58

Also, Brat Farrar with Mark Greenstreet, which has never been repeated in the UK so far as I know. The Moonstallion - the proper series not the cut-down ‘feature length’ version. Oh and the uncut version of series 2 of Red Cap while we’re at it. Shown once on BBC1 and only ever in edited versions (anywhere in the world) ever since.

3catsandcounting · 21/08/2018 20:58

Paige I remember Mother Love. Was Diana Rigg obsessed with her son?
Was very good.

Catspyjamazzzz · 21/08/2018 20:58

Hamish Macbeth has been on the Drama channel (or one of those).

3catsandcounting · 21/08/2018 20:59

Cutting It.

Catspyjamazzzz · 21/08/2018 20:59

Mother Love was amazing, I know I have seen a repeat at sometime.

Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes. I loved them. I know you can get DVDs but I would like to watch them again without knowing the conclusion.

Talisin · 21/08/2018 21:05

Hamish MacBeth is on the True Enterainment channel on Monday evenings currently.

Xmasbaby11 · 21/08/2018 21:05

I am watching ER at the moment. I only ever watched the odd episode but now I'm watching it all from the start. Thoroughly addicted!

3catsandcounting · 21/08/2018 21:05

Colours Life on Mars for me, for John Simm alone. Was amazing.

Oh god, I love all these series mentioned! Blush
