TV series you wish you could watch again

After all the adverts for this new Bodyguard series on BBC, I was thinking I would really like to watch the Beggar Bride Keely Hawes was in.

There’s loads of things I would probably rewatch (if I could find them). I have found the odd thing on YouTube

Any other series you would watch again?

Line of duty

League of gentlemen

The scarecrow and mrs king
By the sword divided

And I watched V a few years ago -it was fun!

Used to love Tenko, and it was rare to have a (virtually ) all woman cast. Very hard hitting too.

Did see it on UK gold about 20 years ago and it seemed very slow. But we all watched it agog and talked about it at school the next day. When stephanie Beecham got shot and paralysed and the doctor killed her to put her out of her misery ! Shock Sad

Ok. So I'm going back to the good old days of my childhood. Some pre catchup and Netflix shows.

Press gang
Moondial
Maid Marion and her Merry Men
Chockie's triangle
The Witches and the Grinnygog
Nightmare.

A town like Alice mini series ( Australian ) starring Bryan Brown , never released in the uk which was a real shame as it followed the book whereas the film didn't

BackforGood · 21/08/2018 21:37

Holocaust
(The original) Roots
Tenko

CherryBlossom23 · 21/08/2018 21:39

The IT crowd. I had sore cheeks from laughing first time 'round.
Peaky Blinders - first two series'. I lost interest in it after that.

whiteroseredrose · 21/08/2018 21:40

When the boat comes in.
West Wing....not repeats, just kept on going
Secret Army
Green Wing

Tenko is currently being shown on True Drama (or something like that).

There was a TV play from the early 80s called Tropical Moon over Dorking and it starred Pauline Collins and Nicky Henson. It is the only thing I've watched and loved but never been able to find again.

prettygreywalls · 21/08/2018 21:41

@ BackforGood we watched the whole Tenko series last winter , DP didn't see it first time around and we loved watching it , took a bit of commitment as it's 30 hour episodes

FoofFighter · 21/08/2018 21:44

Charlie's Angels and CHips Blush

Lolimax · 21/08/2018 21:44

Tenko because my late mum was an extra in it!
The Thorn Birds.
Cagney and Lacey.

NerdyBird · 21/08/2018 22:04

I have the first series of This Life on dvd if anyone wants it.

I have just discovered Amazon Video has Grey's Anatomy. I missed loads when it moved to Sky.

flumpybear · 21/08/2018 22:11

An updated Sapphire and Steel

Loved V too bet it's shit now!

Used to love 'no place like home'

There was also a series I think about Nigel Havers being a surgeon ... love him so was all giddy lol

bluetrees · 21/08/2018 22:12

Currently researching ER. I love it. Watched every episode except1 when it was on originally. Would love to watch This Life again. That was brilliant TV.

bluetrees · 21/08/2018 22:13

I'm not researching ER. I'm rewatching it!!

TakemedowntoPotatoCity · 21/08/2018 22:14

Maelstrom (early 80's). It had freaky dolls in it. I wonder if I would still find it scary now - more likely a bit naff I reckon!

Graphista · 21/08/2018 22:25

On EVERY thread like this for me

Quantum leap. Not available online ANYWHERE beyond a few of season 1 episodes. Loved this show, don't own a DVD player and honestly think that's becoming more true for most households. Very annoying.

Last night I was remembering

How we used to live

A school programme but I remember really enjoying it.

A fatal inversion I loved
Maelstrom (same as quantum leap only available on DVD)

Growingboys do you mean just "V" ?

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_(1983_miniseries)

There was a reboot too.

Cagney and Lacey - 5 are showing some at the moment, sometimes on catch up.

Hairydilemma · 21/08/2018 22:32
