I don't recognise this kind of chick. Maybe some kind of duck? We aren't near a pond though.

Any ideas? Cat is looking very proud...

How big? Does it smell?
Could it be a chick which had previously died. Yuk!

Naughtylittleflea · 20/08/2018 19:33

A dodo?

OrcinusOrca · 20/08/2018 19:34

No webbed feet so can't be a duck. Feet look chickeny but the head doesn't

Bandit1 · 20/08/2018 19:34

Maybe a mourning dove?

MrsTommyBanks · 20/08/2018 19:36

Not a duck. Wrong shaped feet.
A kind of gull?

*I am not an expert.

mumofanonly · 20/08/2018 19:36

Pigeon or seagull depending on size

MrsTommyBanks · 20/08/2018 19:36

Ooooh I'm going with Dodo.

MyBoysHaveDogsNames · 20/08/2018 19:37

It's about 10cm long. It doesn't smell. Must be quite, er, fresh. Poor thing. I think it fell from a nest and the cat got lucky.

mumofanonly · 20/08/2018 19:37

My money would be on seagull

aroomwithaperfectview · 20/08/2018 19:37

I'd say pigeon too.

Pebblespony · 20/08/2018 19:37

Not a gulls beak. They're more pointy. I'd be going with pigeon.

MyBoysHaveDogsNames · 20/08/2018 19:38

DH said dodo! Favourite answer so far.

Wood pigeon looks like a good bet. I did want something more exotic!

I thought it was a wood pigeon, one fell out of a nest in our gardenSad

Spanielmadness · 20/08/2018 19:49

It’s a pigeon. They will often fall out of their nests.

CustardOmlet · 20/08/2018 19:59

Pigeon - we were gifted with something similar and were also horrified by it!!!

CuppaTeaAndAJammieDodger · 20/08/2018 20:14

You're all wrong - definitely a dodo

ChipmunksAreMissing · 20/08/2018 20:15

My first thought was a dodo!

FogCutter · 20/08/2018 20:25

Looks like a penguin chick to me.

Greyhorses · 20/08/2018 20:26

It’s a pigeon.

Saisong · 20/08/2018 20:28

Baby pigeons are called 'squabs'. Ugly ain't they!

MsHomeSlice · 20/08/2018 20:31
