I don't recognise this kind of chick. Maybe some kind of duck? We aren't near a pond though.

Any ideas? Cat is looking very proud...

Pigeon. Squabs are all beak and feet.

zwellers · 20/08/2018 20:37

Young wood pigeon.

zwellers · 20/08/2018 20:39

Why would you want something more exotic. Do you get extra bonus points the more rare something is your cat kills Confused

CustardOmlet · 20/08/2018 21:16

@Zwellers my cat brought me a live adult woodpecker through the cat flap, that’s got to be a good points scorer?

MyBoysHaveDogsNames · 20/08/2018 21:22

MsHomeSlice - that's horrific! Fair point Zwellers. I don't want my cat to kill anything but was fascinated to see this chick so close up, as I hadn't seen anything like it before.

Makes a change from live rabbits, who always look startled to find themselves in my hallway....

Baby pigeon or dove

Oldraver · 20/08/2018 22:06

Pigeon..the most stupid of birds ever. Out of 6 chicks last year 5 fell out of the nest..one narrowly missing my head.

When the one that nearly fell on me happened I turned round to see another on the ground..Both parents came back and were distraught to not find the chicks in the nest. I'd never liked pigeons but felt sorry for them

Ofthread · 20/08/2018 22:09

I can’t believe that turns into a lovely wood pigeon. Poor thing.

OutPinked · 20/08/2018 22:21

It definitely looks like a dodo. Your cat is bringing creatures back from extinction... to immediately kill.

Els1e · 20/08/2018 22:26

A bird of some sorts. I think baby seagull.

ladybird69 · 21/08/2018 22:21

Baby wood pigeon, unfortunately my cats brought a few in 🙁 he’s a hunter and I’ve had quite a few gifts.
