Very excited. I'm having my first trip to Aldi tomorrow. What goodies do I need?

Boring but the dishwasher tablets are excellent

AtleastitsnotMonday · 16/08/2018 17:18

Beetroot and mint dip is delicious

vanillaessence04 · 16/08/2018 17:26

Soya milk! It's about 55p and nicer than chilled alpro (£1.60). Plus, it's not the chilled kind and so easy to stock up on: never run out of soya milk again! Also their English black tea bags, handsoap, produce, gluten free snacks, tissues, meat, tubs of icecream...

JiltedJohnsJulie · 16/08/2018 18:29

Yes agree with Camsie30 dish washer tablets but also washing up liquid, washing powder/liquid and glasses wipes if any of you wear specs Smile

Moser Roth chocolate. No palm oil and PROPER chocolate.

SimonBridges · 16/08/2018 18:32

All the cereal.

SimonBridges · 16/08/2018 18:33

Last time I got Choceur chocolate it had palm oil.
I was not happy.

jamoncrumpets · 16/08/2018 18:35

starkid W5 is LIDL (yes, I know my discount brands)

nomorespaghetti · 16/08/2018 18:36

Mayo
Ketchup
Brioche burger buns are the best of any
Chicken breast slices for sandwiches
Halloumi
Actually all the cheeses
Little wheat crackers

I went in for bread today and ended up spending 50 quid in the aisle of crap Blush

Douro Red wine is amazing. Recommended in one of the Sunday supplements a couple of weeks ago. Bit too drinkable though...be warned!

TeddyIsaHe · 16/08/2018 18:37

The Greek yogurt in a tub
Aldi brand almond butter
Extra special (or whatever) shredded gammon in a cheese sauce ready meal, it is divine!
Their big pork pies
Knock off kinder beuno 😍
Brie de meaux
Beetroot and mint dip
Manuka honey
Kalamata olive oil

I LOVE Aldi!

lastqueenofscotland · 16/08/2018 18:39

LGFuad · 16/08/2018 18:48

The Specially Selected pizzas from the fridge - we especially like the chicken, chorizo & roquito pepper one. I have gone from eating pizza very rarely to having to force myself to not have one twice a week since I have discovered them Blush

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 16/08/2018 18:49

If you have babies then their nappies and wipes are good quality.
Fishcakes.
Cajun chicken breasts.
Chocolate profiteroles.
Smoked Salmon slices marinated.
Salmon fillets ready to eat.
Minted lamb shanks.
Chocolate ( all very good quality but I love the Choceur plain milk one).
Crispy chicken chunks ( frozen)
Brioche tear and share.
Breakfast cereal range.
Macaroni cheese ready meal.
Good pizza range.

Chocolatecoffeeaddict · 16/08/2018 18:50

Sorry, that was typed out in list form. Forgot the duck with pancakes!

GrumpyOlderBloke · 16/08/2018 18:54

Chilli infused olive oil - much nicer than the Waitrose version.

Hellywelly10 · 16/08/2018 19:04

Love the toiletries and cleaning products, fish, fruit and veg, tea, coffee, posh steaks, fake total yoghurt, gin and wine.

Badbadtromance · 16/08/2018 19:07

Honey bread
Milk brochure rolls
Pasta
Cous cous
Yoghurt
Chocolate
Shower gel
Shampoo
Bubble bath
Cooked meats, cheese and prawns
Crisps
Bottled water
Hand cream

Catsandbootsandbootsandcats · 16/08/2018 19:09

Ahhh Aldi. Lovely mouldy food.

Maybe it's just my local one? But I'd give it wide berth.

The crisps were the most awful tasting shit ever. And I'm a huge crisp lover. I had to throw them away, they were that gross.

I got to the checkout and realised the green on the garlic bread was not herbs. Envy It was covered in mould.

The fruit and veg went off in a day. The in date meat smelled awful.

The chocolate was nice.

They had some tie-dye kits in the middle aisle recently, they were good. That's it.

biscuitaddict · 16/08/2018 19:10

Did a big shop there today for the first time saved about £20! Grin

lapenguin · 16/08/2018 19:13

Chilli hot dogs
Everything halloumi
If you have a baby then the nappies

Rosé/wine/cider
Milk (somehow last so much longer than milk from other shops)
65p (something like that) cheese cake
Chorizo burgers
Pizzas
Their pringles
Everything
