Made myself a coffee and now back in bed which is s great start!
OH is on call with work, I can hear him on his phone in the kitchen, that's OK, he's not a medic , so now that he is up we may get out to Tesco for 8am to do the shopping.
DS went out yesterday and is not back yet, and I have to work a bit today ( I work from home)
OH will cook whatever we fancy, maybe a pot roast.

What are you up to today?

Woke up about 8:30 am. We got up briefly when the online food delivery came about 10 and have been lazing around in bed watching the European championships marathons. Will get up at some point (and definitely before xh brings DD here to pick something up around 12:15 to 12:30)
Need to do some housework and DH needs to catch a train about 5pm

Sipperskipper · 12/08/2018 11:11

DD (15 months) gets up at 7 am. Sat in bed with her reading books and drinking coffee (thanks DH). Then cleaned out the washing machine, did some washing, had breakfast etc.

DD just having her morning nap (hence me pissing about on MN!) and DH is washing the car.

Will get her up in a minute and we will go for a blustery dog walk along the river near us, then a nice pub lunch. Then home for her second little nap, and me and DH will play a bit of fortnite!

Need to get some bits for dinner as I somehow forgot to do the online shop. Will pop out later this afternoon. When DD goes to bed we will cuddle up in the sofa and watch The Crown, which we started earlier this week. It’s almost tempting to put the fire on and get properly cosy!

@PeridotCricket Hope the viagra kicked in and things got a little more romantic! Grin

Am pissing about on MN for 10 mins but up until now have had cup of tea in bed and finished off my chicklit hol book (total escapist drivel but I loved it); finished off the unpacking (we got back from hols last night); tidied up; got two loads of washing done; hung up some wooden bunting I got on hols to cheer up my stairs; made breakfast and chatted to DD over that; now going to get dressed and do couple of bits in the garden before heading out with DD for a wander...wellies required, it's a bit grim out there Hmm

Have pulled my oven out to clean behind it, unscrewed the door and glass bit to give a scrub but now not sure how to put it back together Shock There were 2 plastic things that pinged off when I unscrewed the front but I didn't see where they came from!

lapenguin · 12/08/2018 12:25

So far cleaned my kitchen and lounge and hall way, got some hoovering to do before I move onto the conservatory and bathroom! And then tackle our room later tonight after DP has gone to work before I go to bed

Susiesue61 · 12/08/2018 12:34

DS2 had some of his brthday presents early today as DH and DD have now gone off on cricket tour 😊
DS1 has gone to the footy in place of his dad. DS2 and i are watching the Test match and then going to watch said footy! The cat is asleep.
I need to get some food shopping and then can iron while watching cricket/football, before some wine and the bed to myself Grin

NewUserNameTime · 12/08/2018 12:42

Soft play with DC earlier today
Now food shopping
Then will cook a Sunday roast

Then will be sorting laundry, playing with DC and hopefully some TV & MN later

CherryPavlova · 12/08/2018 12:46

Late night last night and raining so... husband took dog for a run about 7:30. Then we went to church, had coffee with friends afterwards. Now lit a fire and watching bad television and synchronising our calendars sorting out dog care, travel plans etc.
Will take dog to the beach or across downs later (hoping rain stops).
I need to sort out clothes for work next week and do an online shop.
Son and a couple of friends coming for supper but it will be something simple.

dementedma · 12/08/2018 13:23

been shopping with sis, baked a lemon and blueberry cake.
Cant really be arsed doing anything else...

lucysmam · 12/08/2018 15:52

@BarbedBloom what goes in breakfast muffins?

DrWhy · 12/08/2018 17:51

It was DHs night on duty with DS and he got up with him at 7 while I got a sort of lie in trying to ignore the tractor and farm noises over my head! (Upside down house). My mum is staying so she then took over a bit with DS when I got up and dressed just before 8 and we left for his swimming ‘lesson’ at 8.30, where he mainly splashed like a loon and refused to do any of the things he was actually meant to (except splash in off the side, he’s very keen on that!). Grandma got him dressed while I had a proper shower. Quick trip to Dunelm for a cot bed duvet set now the weather has turned and a remarkably calm pop into Smyths toys where both DS and grandma were very restrained! DS came out with a lovely wooden tractor for being very good and not demanding anything.
Then home, DS asleep in the car so a quick cuppa while he napped on the drive then off to the farm shop and cafe for lunch.
A walk in the woods on the way home where DS picked up every available stock, stood on ever rock and walked over every tree trunk. Home for a quick snack and some playroom time and we will shortly be off to take Grandma to the pub for dinner.
Will probably pack DS pjs and hope he falls asleep in the car home - little chance...!

BarbedBloom · 13/08/2018 06:31

@lucysmam I use egg, bacon and sausage at the moment. I can send you the recipe if you like. I have to leave the house at 5.30am so gives me something to grab and eat on the way to work

ISpeakJive · 13/08/2018 06:47

I’ve recently emigrated to a hot country and I’m currently sitting down with a cup of tea and cheese pastry looking at the gorgeous blue sea.
DH will be taking the DC’s camping later so I will go for a swim, out to dinner with friends later on and just relax. Bliss
