Made myself a coffee and now back in bed which is s great start!
OH is on call with work, I can hear him on his phone in the kitchen, that's OK, he's not a medic , so now that he is up we may get out to Tesco for 8am to do the shopping.
DS went out yesterday and is not back yet, and I have to work a bit today ( I work from home)
OH will cook whatever we fancy, maybe a pot roast.

What are you up to today?

Sat on the sofa watching peppa pig while DP has a lay in 🙄
Ds wet himself and so I got covered in pee and spent half an hour trying to change and clean him and calm him down. He can't stand getting changed and clean just after he wakes up but he was soaking, so he screams and tries to keep wet clothes on and clean clothes off
Coffee is next on my list.

Off for a day walking in the hills. Just eating scrambled egg and drinking second strong coffee. It’s raining. Home about 6.30pm for chicken & Mediterranean veg stew.

fleshmarketclose · 12/08/2018 08:01

I've just put the steak on to slow cook I'm making steak and ale pie for Sunday lunch. I'mjust having a cuppa before I make chocolate brownies for pudding. I'm trying to avoid the dog's pleading eyes (we usually walk early) because it's raining and thundery. We will walk once it's stopped, have family round for lunch and then off into the Peak District later for another walk.

YoureAllABunchOfBastards · 12/08/2018 08:01

Waiting for a time slot to go to the loo - between DH and DS1 and 2 you have to book in advance as the bog is only free for about half an hour a day...

Going to Ikea this morning just because I can

katmarie · 12/08/2018 08:01

Sitting in bed with 6mo ds who is chattering away to his cuddly bunny. Dh is in the shower. We'll probably do an online supermarket shop later, tidy up a bit and do the washing for the week, but mostly today is a relaxing day.

Mominatrix · 12/08/2018 08:03

Only one awake in the house - even Ddog is still snoozing in her bed.
I've had my tankard of coffee and my toasted bagel. I've baked a loaf of bread so the house is smelling wonderful, and have all ingredients prepped for a pancake breakfast for the family.

We are babysitting a friend's dog today, so if the weather doesn't get worse, am planning a long walk in Richmond Park with the dogs and kids. Later, I've promised teenage son to take him to the Incredibles 2 and then out for Malaysian food.

Lovely, lazy day!

anotherangel2 · 12/08/2018 08:04

Was out superlate last night with DH (first time in many years). Toddler woke early for her. I am currently laying in toddler bed trying to filter out bing. Will get up in a minute, make a picnic to take to local museum which has a new exhibit which DD has been looking forward to but no doubt will be terrified of. It has. great under 7s section so hopefully DD will run around while DH and I take turns to zone out. I might take a book. Off to parents for Sunday dinner later.

369thegoosedrankwine · 12/08/2018 08:06

Still in bed as went out for drinks with dh yesterday.

Planning on a day in today. Will take the dog out at some point but otherwise a bit of cleaning ironing and watching a movie with kids.

Dh will probably cook a roast.

wowfudge · 12/08/2018 08:06

We had a party yesterday and have friends staying over so I'm up early to sort breakfast, except I've been awake for hours thanks to a migraine. Anyway, I've emptied the dishwasher, done some tidying up, made a short list of stuff that's missing - probably in the garden somewhere - and I've mopped the kitchen floor. If it stops raining we'll have to move the tables and chairs off the grass. I expect to watch undemanding telly for most of the day.

ThisIsTheNational · 12/08/2018 08:10

Trying to decide between a pot of coffee and a cup of tea. This is the first morning in over three weeks that everyone is home, and i’m loving that feeling of a full house again.

Tara336 · 12/08/2018 08:11

Everyone seems to have such nice plans 😊. I’m in bed drinking second coffee while DP snores very loudly (he could wake the dead). Dogs will want a walk soon so we will be off to the woods behind us. Football starts again today so DP will be off out at some point. I’m going to tidy the house and get as many jobs as I can done as it means life will be a bit easier in the week. Then will settle down later to watch The Handmaids Tale

pitterpatterrain · 12/08/2018 08:14

DC are up and dressed, now in front of CBeebies with DH and I am off to yoga

Church after yoga then will start packing as I am taking the DC away for a few days

VioletCharlotte · 12/08/2018 08:15

I've just woken up. Slept later than usual as DS1 woke me up coming in at 5am being out clubbing! It was his birthday though, so I'll forgive him. Need to get up in a minute to get ready to take DS2 to work and take the dog for a walk. This afternoon I'm going to the gym, then meeting friends for a coffee. No idea in what's for dinner. Will depend on the teens and who's home.

ThisIsNotARealAvo · 12/08/2018 08:15

On holiday in a European campsite. Not a hot place. I'm not loving it here and counting down the days until we leave. It's not very comfortable and quite noisy. The only good thing about it is that the kids LOVE it here and have made loads of friends.

So I'm lying in a rubbish bed, about to make breakfast and then we will probably go to the beach.

I know I sound spoilt but I'm disappointed with this holiday and it wasn't as cheap as it should be really.

Babybearsporij · 12/08/2018 08:15

Up with the DC while DH has yet another lie in. Just feeding us all, then hoping to get out for a run.

huggybear · 12/08/2018 08:19

I've just woken up and am forcing myself not to go back to sleep. I was going to go for a walk but I think I will have a coffee and look at a recipe I bought the ingredients for yesterday and start my new book.

ZenNudist · 12/08/2018 08:20

Woke up earlier than id like by cramp and dc fighting. Now in bed on MN. Dh asleep. Dc feeding themselves breakfast. Not sure what to do today but its going to be minimal because yesterday was very active and spent whole day shopping and cleaning for dinner party. If i leave the house it will be to take dc to local park or possibly go buy a new big mug as i smashed mine this week. Got to pack as ds is going to granny's all week. Roast chicken for dinner and making sandwiches for day out picnic tomorrow.

Mum2OneTeen · 12/08/2018 08:20

Early Sunday evening here, my favourite time of day.

Have spent the day repainting our bathroom and have now just finished washing out paint brushes/rollers which is way worse than actual painting. It will need another coat tomorrow, so whole house is in disarray with paint gear and displaced things from the bathroom.

DP taking Ddog for a sunset walk and I'm waiting for DD to get back from her weekend away in a city three hours from here.

happymummy12345 · 12/08/2018 08:22

Same as always here, I'm with ds, dh will be leaving for work in a minute.
Sad day for me, 16 years ago today my nan died. I was very close to her so it still upsets me. Will be playing with ds and relaxing at home. We done a massive clean of the house yesterday so a chilled day is in order

speakout · 12/08/2018 08:23

OH just brought me a second coffee, I have just had one of my "spa" showers with sweet orange essential oil, very uplifting.
OH wants to go to Ikea for breakfast, so will be there for 9am, very cheap and bottomless coffee.
We will tiptoe out in case DD wakes!! Hopefully back before she notices!

Watching 5 year old feed mini thomas the tank engines to the screaming banshee, wondering if i could get away with removing the batteries when he's not looking. Trying to ignore the persistant rain that will make todays trip over to Helmsley castle impossible- waiting for 6 year old to wake up so i can get a dose of antibiotic into him due to developing a bit of an infection at one of the pin points of his external fixator frame on his leg- we didnt get home off ward until half past midnight and he was besides himself tired. Drinking a huge cup of yorkshire tea, and in a few minutes i will go clean up the crumby mess that OH left in the kitchen last night. Any suggestions of what to do on a very rainy day when one is in a wheelchair and the other has autism/adhd and needs constantly amusing/ watching or he gets into all sorts of trouble?

BatBelle · 12/08/2018 08:26

We got back from holiday yesterday. I've been up for about half an hour, cleaned the bathroom and done the dishes from last nights take away and I'm now lazing on the sofa thinking about starting the washing mountain...
DH is awake but watching tv in bed and DD is still asleep.
No major plans today, just need a trip to home bargains at some point. It's raining here so will be a lazy day in apart from that.

tangoed2 · 12/08/2018 08:27

Toddler DS up at 6 so he's had his breakfast, I've brought the washing in that I forgot was out last night (now soaking 🙄) and we're now sitting watching Trolls for the hundredth time.

Cleaning, shopping and rest day ahead for us.

AuntieStella · 12/08/2018 08:27

Love these 'slice of life' threads.

We're all,at one set of GPS, travelling back this afternoon. I'm having Brew still in bed, DH is pottering somewhere and teen DC are all silent in the one bed room they've crammed in to.

After this morning I shall be doing some housework DMum no longer finds easy, then helping with the jigsaw and chatting. DH says he'll clean the inside of the car (they have a better hand-held than we do) and he'll pack it.

confusedandemployed · 12/08/2018 08:28

Just had 2 coffees in bed, now showered and about to walk DDog. Then I'm arming myself with a roll of black bin liners and am off to tackle DD's pit. The plan is to sort all toys into: keep, donate, bin, then rearrange her furniture.
