This makes me feel sane and balanced. You can probably find fanfic for anyone if you try hard enough. Tucker and big Roland? Gazza and Terry Butcher? Liam Gallagher and Damon Albarn?

Oh yes. There is a whole world out there of real person fanfic. I even (in passing, I DID NOT CLICK) see Ant and Dec fanfic. This was the point I realised I'd fallen down the rabbit hole.

I love real people fanfic! Honestly some of it is more entertaining than some of the crap novels I've read on holiday! If only some people didn't spend their time obsessed with celebs (ahem!) and that weird shipping business, they could be celebs themselves

Oh god, I'm going to regret this, but I was off work last week (summer hols) and instead of utilising my time off to catch up on something worthwhile, I spent 3 days reading timmy fanfic. Some of it was rather good. [disclaimer: I used to read a lot but small children/life has robbed me of this pleasure. My bar has possibly reset itself a bit lower].

I read something interesting today about how dialogue in films has decreased and this is apparently due to appealing to China

Eg the new Star Trek film has a gay couple but when dubbed into Chinese it's just two good friends. The dialogue and action is apparently such that it can be made ambiguous
