The BCAS - 221B or not 221B?

a thread for those who have had their lives ruined by the charms of one Mr Benedict Cumberbatch. Come and share with those who really understand what it's like to live with this burden.

Some classics to get us in the mood.

I can't see them extending the run for Hamlet. It's already 3 months long with 7 performances a week, he'll be knackered!

Plus, he'll be booked up with other jobs for next year already, don't forget he's got more Sherlock to film at some stage as well as plenty of film roles. I think they've had to fit Hamlet in around his schedule.

OnlyLovers · 14/08/2014 15:48

Yes, you're probably right, Frankel, it's a long demanding run.

But isn't new Sherlock due to be on TV in January 2015 ie before Hamlet even starts? So it'll be filmed this year some time. Or are you taking it as read that there'll be a fifth series? Grin

FrankelandFilly · 14/08/2014 15:56

According to this article they're not filming series 4 until later in 2015, it definitely won't be on tv in January.

BC will have a good month or two of rehearsals for Hamlet before it starts it's run too.

OnlyLovers · 14/08/2014 16:01

Oh yes, of course, I was forgetting that there's so far been two years between series!

Sudename · 14/08/2014 18:03

I think they're filming the Sherlock Xmas special in January and the series later in the year?

SugarFinney · 14/08/2014 19:22

There will be some restriction on those £10 tickets as the Barbican website says "more information on who is eligible will be available early 2015".
Anyway, no more from me about these tickets, I'm getting myself in a right old state about it. Winenow to relax and forget.

Just catching up with this thread. I binge watched Sherlock then Into Darkness while dh was away so I am firmly in Benedict's grip at the moment. Or I certainly wish I was.

Hot picture to start the morning.

Ah thanks Sci-fi and others, lovely pics. Mm, nice idea of being in Benedicts firm grip.

OnlyLovers · 15/08/2014 13:37

'firm grip'. Heavens to Betsy!

RiverTam · 15/08/2014 13:46

firm grip?? Binging on Sherlock?? Oh, I say!

That legs-akimbo one is very nice, SciFi, though annoyingly it's a teeny tiny thumbnail pic on my screen.

He looks so young in the early Sherlocks, doesn't he? Though he's ageing splendidly.

Rumour has it he was photographed today for Elle UK Magazines December cover shoot.
He needs to make an appearance soon - we were spoiled with SDCC

HRHsherlockssextoy · 15/08/2014 22:31

Yep, December would be when all films are coming out. Subscription to Elle might be in order

The GQ one is getting a bed ragged from all the thumbing it's got

SciFiFan · 16/08/2014 21:54

I can't even think about BondageBatch......it's too much. I'm looking forward to November, I have tickets for Frankinstein, will take the kids to Penguins of Madagascar and will see The Imitation Game maybe more than once. Good times.

Sudename · 17/08/2014 13:58

12 lessons all men could learn from BC

SciFiFan · 18/08/2014 21:57

Watch out guys, Tom Hiddlestone has nominated BC for the Ice Bucket challenge. If he does it, it should be posted in next 24 hours.

Wet T-shirt coming up (hopefully) Grin Grin

FrankelandFilly · 18/08/2014 22:00

Hmm, but where will it be posted? He doesn't "do" Twitter etc.

He's in the UK at the mo as his pal James Rhodes is getting married this week and he let slip last week that BC is doing a reading, so we may get suited and booted Batch photos.

SciFiFan · 18/08/2014 22:20

If he does it it's guaranteed to go viral where ever he posts it.

RiverTam · 18/08/2014 22:23

blimey, just watched Nathan Fillion (who nominated Tom H) - he's beefed up since his Serenity days, has he not???
