I haven't seen it (I think dudeufugly on Tumblr has a link) - but I assume that if the role called for it, JLM must have been in the altogether as well. From what I understand from my 2 years of spending far too much time reading about it on the internet the digital copy that is floating around the web has the Creature in a loincloth in the beginning, whereas if you went to see it live, his bits would be on display, hence his comment on GNS that it was a bit mortifying when Olivia and her mother were in the front row at a performance. I assume, of course, that the Creature does not have a massive erection in that scene, so the mortification could be held in check.

Needless to say, I curse the fact that a) I do not live in the UK, b) I had not been Cumberbatched at the time Frankenstein was running and c) I would have some monumental explaining to do to DH about it in either case. (He is currently farting around on a boat somewhere in Holland for a week while I do single-parent duty. My boys are getting their entire monthly TV fix in about seven days. So I get to perve more than usual -- woo hoo!)
