Do you believe in physics?

I don't think I do. All that bumf about electricity and nuclear things and other stuff that is invisible. I simply don't think it exists and is just made up.

My best friend once saw electrickery so I do believe in that. Not sure about newclear stuff though...

I have a feeling you've been reading too many threads about religion, but I admit, I cannot get my head around quantum physics and I really, really, do not care. I'm aware people reckon it exists but to me it's precisely as intelligible as woo-bollocks and it'd be dishonest not to acknowledge that really.

We would never know would we? I am sure it's riveting if you are interested, but I don't even want it explaining to me.

I dropped Physics at GCSE as it was 'stupid' IIRC.

Now Biology and Chemistry-I really believe in them. you can see it happening.

No, I had some physics lessons at secondary school, but could never get over the fact that they were permitted to teach stuff like that to school age kids

I spent yonks thinking it must be fascinating if you could only understand it, but the older I get and the more polite sciency types I've had get all excited waving their hands as if they think they've explained it, the less enticing an explanation becomes.

Our physics teacher brought out a wooden, lead lined box once and told us there was a radioactive source inside. He wouldn't open it and show us though......it could have been empty for all we knew

You can't take such a subject seriously when it goes to such lengths to hide the most interesting parts.

I believe in it because you can prove it. Try shaking a battery really hard until a small chunk of electric falls out.

I'm trying to work out if I would be offended by a group of physicists trying to press leaflets on me in a shopping centre.

DS takes Physics very seriously. He wants to do it at degree level. I haven't got a clue what he's talking about half the time as I didn't even do O level physics. So no, I don't believe in it 'cos I don't understand it but neither do I believe in Psychics
