I am ludicrously distracted by it, but this often happens to me - Richard Armitage and the Game of Thrones boys are recurring obsessions, but at least DH watches GoT and The Hobbit. He doesn't watch Sherlock. He's going to wonder why I'm buying up old TV series. He's going to laugh, I know it. (Actually, he's very good at indulging my obsessions, bless him. He'll still roll his eyes, though. I'm 42 FFS!)

HRHwheezing · 21/02/2014 17:08

He is quite distracting. I feel like I live a double life at the moment, bought the fifth estate today, still got to watch sherlock again.

But for you all , every single one if these he is hot. Really hot.fuck me hot.

Just seen this thread. Met BC briefly once - he was very polite and very earnest about his 'Art'. This was possibly ten years ago; he had such an unusual name that I remembered him. But would never have anticipated he'd make romantic lead status Smile

I am single so I can lust after BC to my heart's content! Not actually great for my love life though, I'm toying with the idea of internet dating but keep looking at (probably perfectly nice) men's profiles...and they're just not measuring up to Benedict!

Nice linky HRH, thank you, I love no 18.

Hessy, Envy just Envy

BornToFolk · 21/02/2014 18:34

I actually just had a little panic as tumblr was down and I wanted to check Cumberbuddy for updates. It's back now though, phew!

Fifyfomum · 21/02/2014 18:52

My favourite one is the one where he gets an award and looks like he is about to cry.

Bless him

HRHwheezing · 21/02/2014 19:33

Nice new pics on cumberbuddy. Nice to see he's still alive. :)

piratecat · 21/02/2014 19:53

Sudename · 21/02/2014 20:49

oh my indeed Grin

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 21/02/2014 20:54

RiverTam - do any of your girlfriends "suffer" from the same affliction? You could meet to watch his films - rotating from house to house to avoid suspicion.

And even so, DH could reap the benefits. Get all hot-and-bothered, and he can take care of it! (Oh come on, you've probably had at least one session where he was fantasy fodder)

piratecat · 21/02/2014 21:05

i can't stop watching that Blush!!

Cumberlover76 · 21/02/2014 21:06

Oooh surprise night home alone, DH has just buggered off to the pub Grin. I said oh, Friday night home alone, he said, sorry love to which I replied, that's OK I've got a Benedict Cumberbatch interview to watch! He can go out to the pub when he likes! BAFTA interview on the big TV for me tonight!

Hessy Envy!

HRH I think it would make a greater impact if we dressed alike, he could pretend we were twins! Ps loving the SuitBatch porn.

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 21/02/2014 21:07

ColinFirthsGirth - I know what you mean. I've been obsessed enamoured of him since 2012, and for the most part, he seems to keep the "real" Benedict under wraps, i.e. very little info about his private life gets into the media, which I think it great, and apparently his friends and family have his back as well. I have such a big yap, I know that I'd be tabloid toast if I ever became famous.

That being said, though, he made some offhand comment about "hitting above his weight" or something similar last year, which apparently meant that he was having sex with (lots of?) women who are very attractive/more attractive than he was used to having. OK, I know he's human, and I honestly do hope that he meets someone wonderful and worthy , but at the same time I don't want to hear about anyone's shag-a-thons. I guess it took a little of the mystique (not to mention ruined my fantasies for a week or two).

bluecheque4595 · 21/02/2014 21:13

Let's quiz!

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 21/02/2014 21:15

And there goes the evening and with it any hopes of getting anything productive done.

I'll be in my bunk.

ColinFirthsGirth · 21/02/2014 22:01

Yes I agree NeedsAGreencard. I thought that comment was a little off, although in fairness I don't think he neccessarily was saying he had had loads of women. He seems abit insecure about his looks facially and I think he maybe just meant that his dates had been better looking than him. However I agree that it does ruin the mystique somewhat!!

He has been quoted as saying that he gets himself into trouble because he talks alot and makes his PR people nervous!

Yes, I would be the same, I can be a little too open - because it takes alot to embarass myself. I would be a definite PR persons nightmare as I can talk for Europe!

It must be extraordinarily strange to suddenly have your every move observed and analysed. I wouldn't want to be famous for all of the tea in china. I think I would hate it if people were taking photos of me and fliming me without my consent. I guess he is bound to say slightly unwise things occasionally.

HRHwheezing · 21/02/2014 22:20

Perhaps cumberlover we could go as these two ;)

vimeo.com/9976137

Not a BC link, a Duran Duran one

We could sitin the frow of hamlet like this. You got lace gloves?

My Ben love and my husband are two different people. They shall not cross. It feels like I'm being unfaithful and I quite like it.

RiverTam · 21/02/2014 22:29

I have to say I did feel quite the minx after watching Sherlock last night, but the reason I was watching was cos DH had a cold and went to bed early, thus he was unable to relieve me of my friskiness, so that was a bit win/lose.

ColinFirthsGirth · 21/02/2014 22:37

I would so love to see Hamlet but London is so expensive to get to on the train from where I am. Can't he bring it to the Midlands??

ColinFirthsGirth · 21/02/2014 22:38

RiverTam - I was also watching Sherlock last night by myself.

Cumberlover76 · 21/02/2014 22:51

HRH yes! Lace gloves and fully shaved for Sherlock.

Sky Arts 2 are showing The Turning Point at 1am on 27th Feb, I've just set the TiVo.

HRHwheezing · 21/02/2014 22:59

What's needed are a range of sherlock sex toys. Get onto it bbc marketing people.

We give you gold here.

RiverTam · 22/02/2014 09:19

is that a euphemism, Colin? [smirk]

WitchOfEndor · 22/02/2014 09:36

I've looked on Sky and can't find The Turning Point anywhere, definitely not showing up on Sky Arts on the 27th - waaah!

LetUsPrey · 22/02/2014 10:35

Look for Theatre Live! instead. It's on Sky Arts 2.
