ColouringInQueen · 20/02/2014 20:33

FrankelInFoal · 20/02/2014 20:37

I've always wondered if he is really that tall, I know the guy who plays John is quite short so that is probably why he looks so tall!

FrankelInFoal · 20/02/2014 20:38

I think he's about 6ft, so not exactly short!

OP posts:
ColouringInQueen · 20/02/2014 20:39

Don't get me wrong he prob is 6 ft, but in Sherlock he seems to be towering, plus that coat adds presence and width!!! He seemed slight, smart and charming Grin

Cumberlover76 · 20/02/2014 20:44

Oh, Colouring I am so jealous. Is he beautiful in the flesh and that voice, I would just melt if I saw him.

LetUsPrey · 20/02/2014 20:46

I don't think there's enough Envy faces

Grin

We've had this conversation before, the "what would I say/do if I met BC" one. It was generally agreed that we'd all like to think we'd be cool and alluring but the fact is we'd probably all just be gibbering wrecks!

ColouringInQueen · 20/02/2014 20:52

Franke I couldn't speak!!!! Soooo glad my dad did so I could stare a little longer (I Am a grown woman Wink)

yes he is beautiful and the voice is everything you'd wish for Grin

Cumberlover76 · 20/02/2014 20:57

One day I will find out what I will do when I meet him! I imagine some kind of blithering wreck muttering how much I want to touch him inappropriately love him and want to kiss him respect him as an actor, whilst rubbing my thighs like Vic Reeves.

Although, if I've had a drink, like when me and HRH go to the convention and drink gin all afternoon, I may well proposition him and/or flash my tits (it has been known!)

ColinFirthsGirth · 20/02/2014 22:27

I have finally watched Sherlock series one! Wow! it was definitely as brilliant as I was hoping. Now I just need to watch the second series.

RiverTam · 20/02/2014 22:30

I was less subtle than Fifty and simply told DH that I was going to watch Sherlock (season 3, I am so behind and now I am just befuddled, in more ways than one) and really, didn't he need to have a bath and go to bed as he's ill? Yes? Off you go then. Thus BC was mine, all mine. Delicious, I might have gone back to the kiss and the shirt tucking in a couple of times.

Colouring you sound very cool, I think I would have dribbled (also in more ways than one). Wel jel, as the young ones say.

Fifyfomum · 20/02/2014 23:13

Hey! I am Fi Fy Fo Mum

As in I Smell the Blood of an English man Cumberbatch

I am not fifty!

You can all call me Fi if you like :)

ColouringInQueen · 20/02/2014 23:20

Thanks RiverTam I am so Not cool but your post has cheered me up no end Smile

RiverTam · 20/02/2014 23:20

sorry! I actually read it as Fifi to begin with, which is what I originally typed, and then misread it again as Fifty.

My eyes are tired. That's my feeble excuse and I'm sticking to it! On that note, I'm off to bed!

Fifyfomum · 20/02/2014 23:27

Hey no worries Tam, it's just I am on this thread a lot and didn't want you to get the wrong end of my name!

Sleep well, may your dreams be filled with Benedict.

MerryBuddha · 20/02/2014 23:36

Just marking my place.

HRHwheezing · 21/02/2014 11:22

cumberlover I don't know about you but I've planned my convention outfit.

A deerstalker, coat and nothing else. Might catch the eye.

And of course, there's hamlet....

PeaceEagle · 21/02/2014 12:28

Have you all seen the Letters Live reading? It's rather lovely. (Hello, by the way, I was on the last thread a bit but have had to namechange!)

HRHwheezing · 21/02/2014 15:27

There's a tweet saying one of mnhq ran past BC whilst out jogging.

Feckers. Didn't tell us first. Who was it. We need more details....

Fifyfomum · 21/02/2014 15:38

Just got wreckers on DVD from love film. Going to watch it tonight!

RiverTam · 21/02/2014 16:21

how do you all manage your DHs when lusting after BC on the telly? I can't depend on DH having a cold every night, though he's off for a couple of nights next week on a work thing so I can Sherlock to my heart's content . But I can't see how I'm going to be able to work my way through his entire back catalogue, as it were, without arousing suspicion/derision.

Sudename · 21/02/2014 16:48

Snap fifyfomum.
they had it in out local library so I hired it for this evening

ColinFirthsGirth · 21/02/2014 16:55

RiverTam - The children (and me) are going to watch Star Trek tomorrow plus I have War Horse to watch with my husband. I am wondering how long it will take for my husband to see the general theme with everything I have been watching lately. I haven't told him about my BC obsession.

I am wondering how everyone copes with their BC obsession?

I am rather distracted at the moment and he keeps popping into my head when I am meant to be working. I feel like a teenager - and I haven't really been like this before. I admire plenty of good actors and admire some of their looks but I never feel the need to watch everything they have been in.

He just seems so lovely inside and out and he is funny and intelligent. A perfect combination I feel. I love watching his interviews and films etc but I am not actually sure if I like feeling like a teenager. I don't like feeling distracted - I hope it dies down abit as afterall I have only jst discovered BC three weeks ago. I literally didn'[t know who he was before that and had never watched Sherlock etc.

I am worried I will hear something not so good about his personality one day and feel disappointed - even though I know he is human and like the rest of us in that sense.
