To celebrate the launch of Paws and Whiskers, we're running a comp to find your favourite pet pics.
Paws and Whiskers is an anthology of stories about cats and dogs chosen by Jacqueline Wilson, best-selling author and Patron of Battersea Dogs and Cats Home and includes stories from Jacqueline herself, as well as Michael Morpurgo, Malorie Blackman, Ian McEwan, Philiip Pullman and Patrick Ness.

Upload your pics to this thread before the end of day on Thursday 6 March and we'll announce the winners on March 10 March. The winner will receive £100 John Lewis voucher and three runners' up will each receive a copy of Paws and Whiskers.

This is Bumbledog........He is a Jackabea. We are his third owners. He was a streetdog, then belonged to an old man for three days who found him too much to handle and returned him. My son has autism and is profoundly deaf and Bumble and he are very close.

My hanky cat. He had a penile urethrostomy three years ago due to repeat urine blockages. Despite having special needs and a lifetime battle with urine infections he is still our best furry friend, full of cuddles and purrs. Couldn't imagine our family without him being a part of it. So much personality in such a small furry body
