Hello,

HarperCollins Children's Books are celebrating the publication of Bing: Get Dressed. It's the first in a fabby new picture book series from Ted Dewan celebrating life as a toddler, life with a toddler, and all the ups and downs of everyday life.

In the first Bing picture book, clever Bing has mastered putting on his clothes (with a little help from his constant companion Flop), but he's struggling with the right order. Sound familiar?

To be in with the chance to win a £100 library of children's books and one of 10 Bing goody bags, take a photo of your DS or DD getting things slightly wrong and upload it to this thread, along with a short caption.

Post your pics plus caption before the end of 30 August and we'll then create a carousel of our favourite 10 pics. Each person who makes the shortlist of 10 will receive a Bing goodie bag, including a copy of Bing: Get Dressed.

Author Ted Dewan will then choose a winning photo from the 10 and we'll announce the winner on Friday 6 September. The winner will receive a £100 library of children's books from HarperCollins.

Find out more about Bing at www.facebook.com/bingbunny

About the books

Ted Dewan has created a series that focuses on the dynamic between toddler and parent, and that speaks to them both equally, about life as a toddler and life with a toddler. With short, repetitive texts, bold, bright artwork and appealing characters, Bing offers both parent and child an enjoyable reading experience and a simple, reassuring guiding principle - that, whatever happens, it's just a Bing thing, a normal occurrence, and nothing to get upset about.

All entries must be posted by Friday 30 August.

I think DD was trying to look like mummy although I do try to wear my glasses the right way up and put my feet in the right shoes generally!

Skirt-hats: the latest fashion

DD at 20 months being very stubborn determined to dress herself. Wouldn't accept any help from Mummy, not even where to wear a skirt!

Goggles and Giggles! My little girl found the swim goggles and decided to put them on whilst wearing her best party frock, then proceeded to say 'plash''plash' (her word for splash splash). Not the best time to wear goggles - to go to a party!

Ivy (22 months) uses her skirt as a rather fetching shrug!

MrsNicklin14 · 30/08/2013 14:14

Ivy's shoes, mummy!

When my husband saw this pic he said "If she'd asked for a pony, I'd have bought her a stable full"

DD told me I look like Snow White... I asked her if this is because I am beautiful?
No, she answered, it's because you married Prince Charming.

The comp has now closed. Thanks so much for all the fantastic entries to the Bing! Comp. We'll be creating our carousel of the shortlisted ten which will be published tomorrow morning. We'll announce the final winner on Thursday.

RachelMumsnet · 03/09/2013 13:57

We've consulted with Bing! publishers at Harper Collins Children's books and have now chosen the ten pics that have made it to the shortlist. You can view our carousel of the ten pictures here:

Congratulations to all those whose pictures are featured. We will be in touch later today to get your details so we can send your Bing! Goody bags including copies of Bing! Get Dressed. We've sent the shortlisted pics over to author Ted Dewin who will be choosing the winner and the winner will be announced on Friday.

Charleymouse · 04/09/2013 13:43

I cant seem to move off the first picture in the carousel, is it okay for everyone else?

RachelMumsnet · 05/09/2013 10:13

Any news on the winner RachelMumsnet?

RachelMumsnet · 10/09/2013 11:27

And the winner is [drumroll...] CharleyMouse for her wonderful pic of DD putting on her PJs. We'll be in touch with details of how to claim your prize.

Charleymouse · 10/09/2013 11:43

Woohoo!
Thank you so much Mumsnet and Ted Dewan.

DD thought this was hilarious when I had asked her to put her PJs on for bedtime.

I am ridiculously excited to be getting some new books.
Many many thanks
Cheers

A worthy winner! Charley's photo definitely got the biggest laugh in this house Grin

Thank you for the goody bag, MNHQ, it arrived this morning and it's great :)

Charleymouse · 11/09/2013 16:48

Thank-you Poppanicolino, I have to say your DDs use of sellotape nose did make me giggle, along with the image of you having to climb up her hair!

Looking forward to getting home to see if my goody bag has arrived. Grin
