Hello,

HarperCollins Children's Books are celebrating the publication of Bing: Get Dressed. It's the first in a fabby new picture book series from Ted Dewan celebrating life as a toddler, life with a toddler, and all the ups and downs of everyday life.

In the first Bing picture book, clever Bing has mastered putting on his clothes (with a little help from his constant companion Flop), but he's struggling with the right order. Sound familiar?

To be in with the chance to win a £100 library of children's books and one of 10 Bing goody bags, take a photo of your DS or DD getting things slightly wrong and upload it to this thread, along with a short caption.

Post your pics plus caption before the end of 30 August and we'll then create a carousel of our favourite 10 pics. Each person who makes the shortlist of 10 will receive a Bing goodie bag, including a copy of Bing: Get Dressed.

Author Ted Dewan will then choose a winning photo from the 10 and we'll announce the winner on Friday 6 September. The winner will receive a £100 library of children's books from HarperCollins.

About the books

Ted Dewan has created a series that focuses on the dynamic between toddler and parent, and that speaks to them both equally, about life as a toddler and life with a toddler. With short, repetitive texts, bold, bright artwork and appealing characters, Bing offers both parent and child an enjoyable reading experience and a simple, reassuring guiding principle - that, whatever happens, it's just a Bing thing, a normal occurrence, and nothing to get upset about.

All entries must be posted by Friday 30 August.

How can anyone be so miserable wearing a Trouser Hat?

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 09/08/2013 15:19

Ds1 likes hats. And things that arent hats.

Catheric · 09/08/2013 15:51

I bought DS1 some Thomas the Tank Engine pants when he started potty training. He decided he had to wear all 3 of them at once but unfortunately wasn't quite sure how to put them on so he's actually wearing a tri-colour pants belt.. A bit blurry because he realised I was trying to take a photo, he knows that when I photo him it's usually because he's done something very funny and he gets embarrassed Grin

DD dressed for winter in Mid July!

DS in his 'Gypsy Acorah' phase.

manfalou · 12/08/2013 16:23

Mason thought he would have a go at walking in mummys shoes... I hadn't walked in them myself for over a year (since falling pregnant with DS2)... he did it better than me.

He also like having 'pretty toes' which he paints with my lipgloss and/or mascara if I'm not looking...

mynameisslimshady · 12/08/2013 16:28

Ds thought being Hannah Montana looked like fun.

mynameisslimshady · 12/08/2013 17:02

Dd picked up the wrong hat at our hula party.

poorbutrich · 12/08/2013 17:33

This may have been an error on the part of the mother, rather than the child. Not only in such a hurry that I put two legs in one trouser, but the mismatch between the top and the trousers. Poor little boy.

BeyondTheLimitsOfAcceptability · 12/08/2013 17:39

Ds1 attempts a make over

KnittedWaffle · 12/08/2013 21:06

No prizes for guessing what DD had been up to while I wasn't looking!

KnittedWaffle · 12/08/2013 21:14

DS1 rocking the ugly bug Cinderella look!

beautifulgirls · 14/08/2013 21:10

Need I say more?!

craftynclothy · 28/08/2013 10:28

Apparently she wanted to be "the blue one in the group" and achieved this by nicking her sister's skirt! Her sister has also fashioned an outfit from two pairs of leggings.

KiteyDelighty · 28/08/2013 11:44

"NO! I do it myself Daddy"

Note pants giving only half the coverage required. She kept the t shirt on backwards all day.

LackaDAISYcal · 28/08/2013 15:10

Just came across yet another DS2 gem...dressed by his sister this time Hmm

SPsTotallyMullerFuckingLicious · 28/08/2013 15:15

I cant upload my sons pictures due to MN not liking my phone Sad

Laptop isn't working either

Poppanicolino · 28/08/2013 19:53

DD decided to be Rapunzel with blue hair (and yes, I was summoned several times to climb up it Hmm ). I have no idea why she sellotaped a circle of paper coloured in with red felt tip to her nose Confused Grin Just another day in DD's world!

Lupins · 29/08/2013 07:06

The middle of summer and my 3.5 year old finds a woolly dress, her wet proofs and her little sister's hat to complete the ensemble.

For the past year I haven't had any say in what she wears. Some days are quite interesting.

I love all the photos here.
