For the next month we're running a fabulous competition with Random House Children's books in celebration of the imminent royal arrival.

If you were a fan of The Queen's Knickers, then you will love Nicholas Allan's latest The Royal Nappy. Nicholas has kindly drawn up a template of the royal nappy that we want your dcs to adorn. Simply download the Design your own Royal Nappy template and get your child to create a stately nappy design. Then take a photo of the design and upload it to this thread. The comp is open until Friday 16th August and we'll announce the winner of £100 Mothercare voucher the following week.

Find out more about The Royal Nappy, access the template and other royal-arrival-themed activities that your dcs can enjoy over the summer holidays.

Well timed competition - has given my DCs a morning of focus whilst I attend to their newborn baby brother. DS (aged 9) did this picture, and took it pretty seriously, looking up royal crests and logos, and having a go at copying some calligraphy as it "looked more royal" Smile

DD (7) also loved designing a nappy, and they would both like to design some nappies that can actually be made into real nappies so they can see them on the Royal Prince, and also design them for their 2 week old brother.

Here's a photo of my 2 year old daughters royal nappy which she coloured in all by herself with a bit of help including the colours & design of the union Jack.

I've also included the photo of her happily colouring it in.

Thanks to all those who sent in entries - we're sure Baby George would be proud to don any one of these fabulous nappies. Random House will be looking at all the entries over the next few days and we'll announce the winner on Wednesday 21 August.

Sorry, but there wasn't a time deadline on this and it just said Friday so I'm adding mine all this evening as we've been away! Hope that's ok.
This is my 6 year old's complete with jewels and grapes if he gets hungry!

florencebabyjo · 16/08/2013 19:55

This is Bella's, aged 8. She wanted a peaceful nappy to make baby George happy and send him to sleep for kate and William!

PiddlingWeather · 23/08/2013 21:15

Was there a winner announced for this then?
