Back home again, yippie! Kids are stapled to their mattresses, they will probably wake around 3 or 4...

Went for Chinese food for lunch before the flight, and they had those paper placemats with the zodiac animals. 1976 was a year of the Dragon (ooh! Smaug!)...and apparently Dragons are well suited to Rats, preferably marrying one later in life. My birth year, 1972, was a year of the Rat... (Yes, I did have a connecting flight through FantasyLand.) And I had to think of Cabin Pressure a lot today, starting with that little eponymous doohickey on the inside of the plane door, then someone was talking about drag and thrust, and then the main attendant looked like Stephanie Cole.

I'm hoping we get some new pics soon. BC has lots of film festival appearances lined up apparently, not a surprise considering he's got at least 4 films due out before the end of the year!

I think there'll be loads of red carpet stuff, yes. The Observer had an 'upcoming cultural things' feature last weekend and it had a Benedict section , including Slave, Osage County, the Assange film and Sherlock. [happy happy joy joy]

Heads up ladies. According to the bbc media centre BC is on bbc4extra at 6.30 tomorrow evening reading a Kafka novel. Can't link on phone but go to bbc media centre and search for Sherlock. It is atvthe bottom of the list.

Thanks Frankel, as well, for the drama trailer! Sherlock aside, I think it all looks quite exciting. SO pleased that Ripper Street is back.

Metamorphosis is available as a free (almost positive it's free) download from iTunes. If you search Benedict Cumberbatch on iTunes, it brings up details of it as four podcasts. I've had them for quite a while but never got round to listening

The BC episode of HIGNFY is on some time this week and Tinker Tailor Solider Spy is on Channel 4 on Friday.

I'm still drooling over the US Vogue photoshoot. However, my copy of ST:ID arrived today. Quite looking forward to the extras bit

Metamorphosis is on 4Extra at 00.30 if anyone is still awake! I usually fall asleep listening to the channel, so look forward to waking up to BC's hushed tones in my ear

And even though I'm loving the Star Trek reboots, I am VERY wary of any new Star Wars material. Three words: Jar Jar Binks... (But if this is true, Benedict may make me reconsider.)

Twitter has been full of denials that BC is in Star Wars. I'm not even sure that the prospect of BC could tempt me to watch a Star Wars film. Probably only if there was guaranteed nudity

Would love him to be in Star Wars! Best friend loves the films, as does DS1 so double excuse again to watch

As for Star Wars, there were loads of denials about his role in ST:ID as well. But in any case, I have zero control over it, so I'm not getting worked up either way.

But yes, Frankel, if BC would play, perhaps Han Solo's father...

[In an aside, I recently saw a trailer for Paranoia, and I yelled out, Hey, I didn't know Gene Hackman was still making films! And then I realized it was Harrison Ford...] Ouch.
