Hello lovelies.

Some of you are cooking some amazing meals. It would be great to see pictures for inspiration.

I've started with a picture of my pork steaks cooked in butter, chilli, garlic and ginger served with cabbage.

OP posts:

Broccoli, courgette & basil soup

Blackaffronted how did you cook those lovely halloumi and bacon bites?

Catinboots I also have cheese slices - how did you make your cheese crisps/biscuits?

Please and thank you!

BlackAffronted · 03/02/2013 18:25

MrsH, you just cut the halloumi into chunks, wrap in a small piece of bacon. Pop them all on a baking tray, into the oven at 200C for about 2o minutes.

The cheese crisps, cut the cheese slices into smaller slices, sprinkle with herbs/garlic salt/onion granules. Place onto greaseproof paper and into the oven at 210C for 15 minutes. Let to cool so that they crisp up.

BlackAffronted · 03/02/2013 18:26

Steak, fried green beans in garlic butter & creamy mushroom sauce.

Thanks BlackAffronted - I tried the halloumi and bacon last night and they were delish! We fried some of them, and grilled some others, but I will try the oven next time for a bigger batch.

Cheese crisps on the menu for tonight!

Oopsie roll with whipped cream, cocoa powder, choc essence and sweetener. I must stop using sweetener...

BlackAffronted · 05/02/2013 17:15

Have never tried an oopsie roll, but it looks tasty!

BlackAffronted · 05/02/2013 17:18

Cod wrapped in parma ham, tablespoon of bourisin in there too, with roasted fennel.

NoveltySlippers · 05/02/2013 20:16

Looks lovely Black!

NoveltySlippers · 05/02/2013 20:17

Bessie always wondered what an oopsie roll looks like Smile Fab!

BIWI · 05/02/2013 20:22

These are fab! I must remember to take some pics here.

Bessie123 · 05/02/2013 23:07

novelty you have to whisk the eggs up a lot and then fold the mixture really gently to keep the volume, or they end up looking like pancakes. They are brilliant - great with tuna burgers or nice to layer a couple with cream and strawberries for a low carb 'cake'.

NoveltySlippers · 06/02/2013 21:42

Ooh, thanks for tips Bessie. Will definitely try them!

Bessie123 · 12/02/2013 15:27

Hmm, mine looks a bit brown...

Swede and celeriac fondant with leeks, mushrooms and poached salmon in a creamy cheese sauce. It tasted nicer than it looks.

BlackAffronted · 12/02/2013 19:11

I love celeriac fondant, whats it like with turnip?
