I have just one thing to say at the moment, a propos of the John Finnemore thing in the last thread: 'pub kitten'? 'pub kitten'?!!? Just how cute does that sound?

LadyClarice, that previous link doesn't work. I managed to find another one (from ScifinewsDE, I think) that hadn't been pulled yet.

Also hope that Benedict won't let the paps get to him. (And not just because I hope to make it to London sometime in the next six months and will be using public transport...Stranger things have happened!)

Well, every time I get the tube I indulge in a mini-fantasy about Benedict being on it.

Watched the trailer. GOOD voice work, say I.

Am thinking naughty, naughty thought when I hear him say "You think you are safe. You are not." Hardware may or may not be involved.

And LadyClarice, now you've got me going. Remember that scene in "Risky Business" when they were in some train? Yeah. I'll be taking a cold shower now.

Sadly, I don't remember that ... which obviously means it's too long since I saw Risky Business! Must rectify that.

Looking at this photo of his legs is like looking at an anatomy textbook. Well, like an anatomy textbook that is published by a company that also publishes porn.

Am currently vetting the red wine we selected for Christmas dinner. Seeing as I'm halfway through the bottle already, I don't really give a toss how the damn goose will taste if this stuff is on the table. [hiccup]

Just came back from the cinema -- The Hobbit. It was...meh. I thought Martin was great (when he was actually on screen), but even thought I loved the original LOTR trilogy, I actually fell asleep twice. My favorite parts of the movie:

• seeing the ST:ID trailer (even though Debbie-Downer DH kept saying it was "too dark" -- well duh, you did read the title, right??)
• seeing Benedict's bulked up silhouette for 2 seconds.

OK, enjoy this. I'm going to be in my bunk and hope to Christ that my kids don't wake up at 5 am like they did yesterday and proceed to fight on the stairs (which are tiled and therefore echo like crazy and make me think I live in an indoor pool).

I saw The Hobbit last night too, but I loved it . If you listen very carefully when the Necromancer appears briefly you can hear BC's voice whispering.

Only disappointment for me was no Star Trek trailer

Oh my god, I forgot how young he looks in the pilot. He looks like a teenager who's just growing into his man's body. (Which doesn't in the least make me not want him. Just makes me feel a little dirty doing it. What's that saying? "15 will get you 20"?)
