When I wrote this post I also put it on twitter to find Occupy Wall Street have retweeted it to 165,000 followers! I can hardly believe, after a little more than a year and a half, I am finally acquiring a voice. A big thank you to everyone here on Mumsnet who has supported me. lifeafterdebts.blogspot.co.uk/2012/08/when-american-novelist-nicholas-sparks.html

I have ranted about French customer service and how bloody awful it is today.

So we made it ... whoop, whoop, whoop ... finally ... through the wilderness ... that is potty training! It's really not that bad - and would have been easier if I hadn't missed out on some essential tips - but the first few days when you're house bound it does take you back to those dark, lonely moments of being a new mum. And then there are those times when you just cannot handle yet one more thing - a bed, the carpet, the only clean clothes left - being sopping wet and needing to go in the washing machine and somehow get dry when it's bunging it down and you don't have a tumble dryer ... aaaaaaaarghhhh!

Confined to the house and barely able to walk I needed something to occupy myself with. So with the Twinkles in mind I set to making origami baby mobiles.

We took a trip out to the beach today - some of us had a better time than others:
Sometimes the seaside is lovely and sometimes it?s cold and windy (but the kids had a good time)

Hello all
I made a mini version of my DD1. It's less creepy than it sounds!

I've just written about What Is a Wall, After All? by Judy Allen - part of a great series for reluctant readers, or kids who just aren't into stories, or kids who like stories, or anyone really!

Who'd have thought a book about walls could be so much fun?

I don't normally rant and rave and swear, well, not in the blog anyway. But we had an annoying sexist idiot come and fix our washing machine and it ruffled my feathers. A lot.

Terms of Endurement - a blog about the start of term:

The school year starts positively, with the fresh promise of making friends, learning new skills and being part of a friendly community.

By the end of the year you're hiding from the playground Mafia, avoiding the PTA and, like the tape holding together the kids' scuffed shoes, you're clinging on for dear life.
