The fact that I appear to be the first in this thread suggests I've stayed up far too late writing this post - hope you think it was worth it!

New Beginnings and Old Friends in Ancient Cities

Inspired by a trip to the beautiful city of Bath's fab Roman Baths (great for a family outing!)

For any parents of teenagers here's my latest blog

Mum = The Fixer

It's about actually getting something right as a mum to teenagers and how good it feels.

In praise of England as a holiday destination:

Foreign Holidays - Who Needs Them?

though possibly slightly hypocritical as I'm heading to Scotland for a fortnight next month! Shock

Hello again! Sorry, it's been one crisis after another here so I haven't been posting here much - I've been popping in to read stuff though! :)

Here's a few new posts:

One of my friends talks about her ten favourite history books!

Recipe for banana crumble.

There's other stuff too, including a guest post by Lucy Worsley, but that was ages ago. I'll try and post more regularly again from now on! :)

Terrible Twosday (Not Just For Two Year Olds)

I have some fabulous guest posts on the way over the next few weeks. I am really glad that I decided to do this, as it is a lovely way of continuing Terrible Twosday without hoping that Bob will misbehave.

I am going to start running them from next week with a few of my own posts thrown in, whenever Bob gets up to mischief! I am sure that this angelic spell will not last! ;)

If you would like to write a guest post just let me know. There is no rush, as I have had several people show their interest, so they can be written as and when. There's no need to start setting up tantrums!
