Right, I've taken the plunge!

Please pardon the foul language in this post, but that about sums up what I think...after DS1's 6th birthday party today attended by seven 6-year-olds plus DS2 (who is 3). I cracked open the champagne once the kiddos had eaten and am now pretty much one glass away from killing the bottle all by myself. Did I mention that DS1 is starting school tomorrow morning? And it gets underway with a celebratory Mass at 10 a.m. Shoot me now. (Wonder if the church or DH would notice if I ogle WAYWB or Cumberbuddy while there?)--

But tell me this, ladies: Am I the only one wondering why he seems to be suddenly lamenting his singleness ALL OVER THE PLACE? I mean, we all know he's longing for children (take mine!!), but I get this weird feeling that he already has someone picked out but she's not on board (yet) and he's doing all this PR on it in hopes of winning her over. (Sorry, overactive imagination here.)

I really need to get out more often. And knock off the booze.

I'm posting from a lovely hotel in York, having just seen my fabulous namesake extend his unbeaten run to 13 races

I digress, this is a ver posh hotel with complementary magazines in the rooms. Imagine my surprise to find, in the In Style August 2012 issue, an interview with BC
DH asked me if I'd requested the magazine for the room I didn't, honest! Just a happy coincidence!

I think you're over-thinking it NeedsAGreenCard . Similar questions put to him in the gazillion interviews he's done, so similar answers. [hopeful]

I would be very willing to relieve him. Of his single status obviously .

I did see The One Show live He was just [swoon]

He scotched all those stupid "I'm typecast" and "Downton is rubbish" stories too. Everything, as we all knew, was taken out of context. Apparently his dad was in the Downton Christmas special so I really can't see him allowing his son to speak out like that!

Just finished watching it - had to pause it while I sorted the washing out (exciting) - and absolutely loved it. Love Sylvia and Valentine. And the clothes, oh the clothes.

The scene towards the end in the field with them both (trying not to give any spoilers) was beautiful.

Oh my, wasn't it lovely? (Even if I did have Primus explaining half the allusions/imagery/techniques to me as I was watching it - yes thank you, eldest son of mine, I have read the bloody book you know)

And did anyone else thin BC so looked so damn young on the One Show?

Mind you, he looked pretty damn thin as well. Clearly in need of some Good Home Cooking...

I go out for one evening with DH, and look what I miss. I just lost two hours of precious time that could have been spent watching "Parade's End" camped out in the basement, but noooo, DH wanted to go see "Prometheus." (What a load that was the best part was when the operating thingie was declared only to be calibrated for men HA!)

And I will have to wait until Monday after lunch to watch any/all clips available... If anyone comes across a link where you can watch that episode, I'd greatly appreciate it.

It is on iplayer, as is the behind the scenes documentary :)
