Right, I've taken the plunge!

Get those catwalk pics in here quick!

Has he definitely gone then? He was still in the UK last week but could well have headed off I suppose. I suspect all the voiceovers (if any) would be prerecorded for sound quality reasons [again speculates wildly]

Have to say I agree with the decision re Frankenstein on DVD, it is a theatrical experience and you just wouldn't get the same vibe. At least in a cinema you have a feeling of the scope and presence of the production.

LetUsPrey · 24/07/2012 09:06

How about if I promise to watch it on my SIL's enormous TV in silence with a few other people and with all the lights off?

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 24/07/2012 09:23

He's in the US again now, yes, New Orleans (presumably for Slave).

On Frankenstein, I wouldn't think it's a tax thing. I suspect it's at least partly about the 'theatre experience', as you both say. I don't know how many plays do get filmed and released on DVD, does anyone? I would hazard a guess that it's not common. The NT Live brand is huge and global, and no doubt they want to protect it and keep it feeling like a special thing so that people are willing to pay for it.

Oh, I'd be willing to pay, just not for the flight/hotel/ground transport thing that goes along with the actual theatre ticket. Foo.

This post may help slightly with my sense of frustration at not being able to watch it. Good lord, the veins...

Oh, and Prey, we have a projector and a screen. Road trip? We do have wine...

LetUsPrey · 24/07/2012 14:26

Just saw that picture. Shirtless and shouty and angry and just so bloody passionate.

Projector? Wine?

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 24/07/2012 15:07

We have a projector too, rather than a normal-sized telly.

Not sure DP would be THAT keen on watching Frankenstein on it though Grin

VoidofDiscovery · 24/07/2012 17:34

LetusPrey Yes, new (did see him do Look Back in Anger and posted) I try to keep away and restrain my postings, wld need to delete history otherwise esp as my RL name is in profile ; )

Glad you got the downloads greencard, they are soooo brilliant.

Have you seen these? (click on pics for massive high resolution). Blimey, the detail...

He has started filming, tweet from fan who saw him in costume with his headphones in

LetUsPrey · 24/07/2012 17:41

Oh my word VoidofDiscovery those pictures are just lush!

VoidofDiscovery · 24/07/2012 18:54

Aren't they? Almost as if he's in front of you...

SeashellsAllezModInYellowAllez · 24/07/2012 21:04

I'm sorry I've not been on for a few threads BUT I've just seen a trailer for Parade's End on BBC1 and it looked awesome!!!! All it said was "coming soon" :( but Grin

NeedsAGreenCardForFantasyLand · 24/07/2012 21:06

Prey, oh my. That's....something. (As in "Something I want here RIGHT NOW.") The curl. The stare, the shirt, the open legs....oh god, I'd better stop right now or else I'm going to be a puddle of goo on the floor.

Whoops, too late.

Fantasy will be working overtime tonight.

LetUsPrey · 24/07/2012 21:25

I've just spent a very enjoyable few minutes looking at all those photos in your link VoidofDiscovery without the risk of DH being able to look over my shoulder. That little beauty spot on his neck is just begging for me to kiss it. Smile

Glad you liked the picture NeedsAGreenCard - it is rather nice isn't it? Grin

Seashells - nice to see you again! Was it the trailer with lots of other BBC new programmes on it? BC featured quite heavily in the Parade's End snippets. Wink

SeashellsAllezModInYellowAllez · 24/07/2012 21:36

Yes, but then then finished the montage with a screen saying "parades end, coming soon" sniggers

I ended up seeing both versions of Frankenstein - brilliant :)

Loving all the links, that last one prey was very, um, stimulating Grin

LetUsPrey · 24/07/2012 21:47

Trailer here from The Majestic Llamacorn's Tumblr.

Coming soon indeed Grin

CaveMum · 24/07/2012 21:51

Honest to god that man could read the phone book and make it sound sexy Grin

I'm not interested in the technical side of cars, but I was completely fascinated by the Jaguar ad. Not just because of BC's voice but he actually made it sound interesting!
VoidofDiscovery · 24/07/2012 22:44

From the trailer: "Desire... must resist it..." No, you most certainly not.

See that The Hour is coming back too, with the lovely Ben Whishaw.

LadyClariceCannockMonty · 25/07/2012 09:35

YAAAAAAAAAAAY, Parade's End!!!!!

EVERYTHING in that trailer looks great although the first series of The Hour was underwhelming. I think the Beeb have really raised their game since Sky Atlantic started poaching all the top-quality American dramas.

LetUsPrey · 25/07/2012 14:10

So Parade's End late August/September (I'm guessing) and also new Doctor Who at the end of August. It's like the BBC have thought "It's LetUsPrey's birthday in the middle of August. Let's do something really nice for her and put both Benedict Cumberbatch and Matt Smith on her television for her just after her birthday." Isn't that nice of them? Grin

Also, I know his character in Atonement is seriously horrible but this picture does funny things to me and I'm so very tempted Blush

CaveMum · 25/07/2012 17:59

I know what you mean Prey. Horrible horrible character, but ver ver sexy man [consigns last shreds of feminist leanings to the bin]

OP posts:
CaveMum · 25/07/2012 18:21

Prey, don't forget that the rowing drama Bert & Dickie starring Matt Smith is on BBC1 tonight at 8.30 Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 25/07/2012 18:44

Set to record already! Grin

megcleary · 25/07/2012 20:12

Nice interview
