Happy Mother's Day - hope it's not presumptuous of me as a relative newbie to start this thread but I took time off from being frivolous in the kitchen to ponder something a little deeper on Mother's Day - have you heard of The Girl Effect?

Crumbymummy, your cakes are lovely. Can I offer a tiny bit of constructive criticism though? I'm going to anyway! It may be worth looking up some photography tips on taking good photos. Food is notoriously difficult to photograph anyway. But I think your photos don't do justice to your creations. I say this not as someone who takes good photos myself but as the wife of a photographer who has to listen to lectures on lighting and colour balancing! If it would be useful I could ask dh if he knows of any good websites for tips. I only say this because your cakes are really beautiful you should definitely get them in the best light.
