Been trying out some new stuff in my kitchen recently. Featuring an old Indian royal recipe in my newest post.

Taar Korma

So what have all of you been up to this week?

I run a free cultural exchange (like having a pen pal but much more cool!) from my site as well as giving lots of ideas for toddler activities.
Check it out xxx

Does anyone know if there is an official title that describes the relationship you have to your sibling's in-laws? Or is the only available option "my brother's father-in-law"?

Anyway - my brother's father-in-law spotted this shady-looking character in a shop window in Malaga.

OutrageousFlavourLikeFreesias · 15/01/2012 10:33

Rach, those exchanges sound wonderful - thank you for sharing!

Does anyone here join in with Silent Sunday
It's when you post just a photo (no words) you've taken in the last week, and then tweet it with #silentsunday

QueenMaeve · 15/01/2012 12:40

My lap top is away at the minute so I had a go at using my phone to blog. Started off very simply with just a silent subday post. But it is handy when you're short on time I suppose

PetiteRaleuse · 15/01/2012 14:00

I'm wondering what people think about parking spaces reserved for lone women drivers . I'm not sure if it is just in Luxembourg that they have these, as well as disabled spaces and mother and baby spaces. Am wondering if it is overkill, or if it's just a nice gesture towards our safety.

PetiteRaleuse · 15/01/2012 14:01

Rach those cultural exchange ideas are brilliant. I will sign up when DD is old enough to enjoy it...

Flubba · 15/01/2012 15:10

A quick gift idea for little heads - still battling with the monster quilt, so this is my interim filler! :)

OutrageousFlavourLikeFreesias I have often wondered the same thing - my brother's parents in law are referred to as MIL Plus One and FIL Plus One in our household!

I have posted the recipe for my apple, date and sultana recipe today as I so enjoyed eating the fruit of my autumn labours and the ingredients are still available in the shops!

CinnamonStix · 15/01/2012 20:53

I've not been on here for ages - we've been really busy on Camel's Hump. The editorial team is now four people, so things are easing off a bit. We've gone from casting around for a post every day to debating whether three posts a day, but with less time at the top for each one, or two posts with a bigger reserve for dry periods is a better idea. Which is always a good sign. Plenty of new writers too, and we are getting a bigger variety of posts.

Anyhow, here are our posts from yesterday:

Today I am wondering how you choose a book for book group - would love any suggestions on this as my book group is turning up at my place on Thursday.

OnlyANinja · 16/01/2012 14:59

Thanks flubba :)

JM if you pick a book that we recommend will you reply to all criticism with "people on the internet told me to do it"? :o
