Sigmund is available for appointments.

I was thinking it could be like those government petition sites where they have to debate the issue in the House of Commons if they receive more than 100,000 signatures. I don't think we'd have a problem finding that many Gizzy fans to sign it!

Don't fancy the postage costs to NZ, mind you.

SupermassiveLBD · 01/12/2011 18:36

If we got that many signatures I would volunteer to post it off as my gift to the world. Smile

Would it have to be in Latin or Norman French, though, for true twelfth century authenticity? On parchment, with a ribbon and a big wax seal on the end?

LadyDamerel · 01/12/2011 18:47

I reckon 'We Want Gizzy' should do it.

Short, to the point and leaves plenty of room for signatures.

I like the idea of parchment, much better quality than airmail paper.

I think I've come across a rare original contemporary photo we could include, to add interest.

LadyDamerel · 01/12/2011 19:18

Oh no, Massive. What if that picture is interpreted as us also wanting the Stupid Girl back? Shock

VictorianChristmasVamp · 01/12/2011 19:38

Hi all

too tired to read back I'm afraid, but thanks again for worrying about me - I thought you might, which is why I said I'd got home safely. It was pretty hard drive, had odd moments of hallucinations, but I'm hear safely!

Kids are in bed trying to sleep. Vampgirl took is really really hard, vampboy laughed!Hmm But then said he would draw a picture for Grandad to cheer him up! I think we are taking them with us tomorrow to look at the possible burial ground and have a nice family day out - vampgirl has opted not to go to school and I think that's right for us.

I'll say it again, but I really mean it - Thanks from the bottom of my heart for all your support - it has really really kept me going - think it isn't going to get miraculously easier now, but at least we can now start planning on what happens next IYKWIM?Confused

Smile
LadyDamerel · 01/12/2011 19:48

Vampy, don't worry about Vampboy's reaction. From what I know that's a pretty common reaction in small children who really have no concept of what 'dead' means or the ability to empathise with other people. DS2 asked why my mum was crying at G'pa's interment in the summer but at G'ma's funeral a couple of weeks ago he climbed up on the chair to give me a cuddle better when he saw me crying through one of the hymns. I've just found that being totally honest and answering their questions, however inappropriate they are, does help them understand a bit more.

Vampy, it was so thoughtful to let us know you were safe, amidst all your turmoil/ I only mentioned being worried about you, to show we care about you. I hope everyone can get a bit of rest, tonight.

Point taken about the Stupid Girl. LadyD. Counter-productive in the extreme. So how about the original medieval version of Maud's famous arse pic, then?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 01/12/2011 20:17

Yet again, my post broke MN.

Vampy - I had tried to say that I'm glad you're home safely and don't worry about the VampKids. Children have their own ways of dealing with loss which might look odd to adults but makes sense to them.

Now, will you please quite referring to it as my famous a*e? Me and my a*e are completely incognito and that picture belongs to the Bee Bee Cee, not to me.

SupermassiveLBD · 01/12/2011 20:25

Ah, the inadequecies of the printed word. It so often leads to confusion.

Of course I refer to the oft-posted picture of someone's nether quarters, originally sourced by Maud, rather than a depiction of her own dear southerly contours, famous or otherwise.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 01/12/2011 20:27

My contours are of course legendary, but only in my own boo-dwarr.

DumSpiroSpero · 01/12/2011 20:28

thanks again for worrying about me

Don't be daft - that's what friends are for (even 'virtual' hairy trucker friends!) Grin

If anyone fancies some light entertainment have posted Chapter 3 of SNT, with a minor alteration that hopefully will make you all chuckle.

Don't know if I'll be back later as could do with an early night after long day & mega filling! Anaesthetic just about worn off and ok so far but feeling a bit sore and fragile from all the gadgetry used in the process.

If not, hope all goes well tomorrow. Hopefully the cousins will be a nice distraction for MissVampy, otherwise I think LadyD's advice is just spot on.

VictorianChristmasVamp · 01/12/2011 21:03

::snort:: @ Maud's peaches!!Grin

I'm glad you don't think vampboy's reaction was strange - I thought it was sweet in a way. They've both asked lots and lots of questions since which I've answered honestly. Vampboy wants to help bury her so we'll see. My sister is going to come to funeral anyway and is happy to deal with children if necessary. Best question from vampgirl was if there are two sorts of dying when you got old or I'll or if you are killed. As old or I'll you are ready to leave your body, killing not so much! Amazing their theorising isn't it?!

Vampboy was just concerned how I managed to sleep last night if I'd been sitting round grandma's bed when she died - glad to see he thinks of his sleep first!! That's my sleep monster!Smile

Talking to dC made me realise how glad I was I was there yesterday when she died. Thecolonel has found it hard to deal with watching her die but I found it peaceful and nice to be able to explain exactly to DD how it happened as she needed to know details. Made me feel even worse for BIL but as one of you wisely said and my parents with time hopefully he'll realise he tried his best, it was what she wanted and that he has happy memories of her - although I think seeing her in the chapel of rest was hard today - I chickened out of that one as did the colonel and FIL and MIL's mother. So hard watching her last night watching her baby dieSad. She's 90 and full of life and energy still must be so hard!

Anyway going to be frantic few days ahead with everyone here but I'll hopefully be able to pop in. Going to say it again. I really felt you all with me last night and it helped me so much. Not convinced I could have held it together for everyone else without you all. Off to bed now / got a very disorganised house to get ready for 9 people and a dog tomorrow evening. Smile

SupermassiveLBD · 01/12/2011 21:12

I wish we could help with that, too, Vampy Sad

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 01/12/2011 21:20

Good to hear from you again, Vampy. Your friend is concerned about you.

Something that I read in a completely different context, but which might be relevant to your BiL, is the idea that he took the best decision he could (about coming back) with the information he had at the time (including his mother's wishes).

Best wishes from me and the other teenagers from Runcorn/hairy truckers Academicians.

TheSmallPrint · 01/12/2011 21:46

Whats all this about Maud's arse? Wink

Vamps get an early night tonight, I think you may need it before tomorrow. Good luck with it all. < proffers sneaky Wine>

SupermassiveLBD · 01/12/2011 21:50

it's not hers that I meant, Small, it was Gizzy's

DumSpiroSpero · 01/12/2011 21:53

Massive, that last post had so much double entendre potential even I was Shock.

DumSpiroSpero · 01/12/2011 21:53

But you know me...Wink!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 01/12/2011 21:56

My curves are callipygous, Small. Just ask Mr Thornton my husband.

TheSmallPrint · 01/12/2011 21:56

Thank goodness for that!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 01/12/2011 21:58

Yes, he frequently does.

::saucy::

SupermassiveLBD · 01/12/2011 22:02

Super-callipyg-expialidocious, Maud?

Even you, Spiro? But then of course everyone knows butter would not melt in your mouth. Grin
