Oh and very pretty picture thank you!!Grin

TransylvanianVampiress · 24/10/2011 17:27

And another thing - last thing I promise with my all my fingers crossed!! I found a programme from joseph & TDC from 1994 in Bristol when Phil schofield was in it - complete with a couple of signatures of the more minor actors and a signed photograph of schofe himself!!Grin. I have no recollection of this at all!! Must have hung around outside the stage door a la twigs et twig girl!! Considering what some signed photos of ouR mAn go for on eBay I'm sure a small one of schofe would get me 10p or something!Grin

TransylvanianVampiress · 24/10/2011 17:40

Only me!!!

Twigs! I too remember life before pooters!! Hence why I had a typewriter with carbon paper!!Grin. Found my old school projects - all handwritten! ShockGrin

Life so much less time-consuming now!! if we don't count the hours we spend on here!!Grin

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 24/10/2011 18:08

Yes, but I bet your typewriter with carbon paper was something you played with when you were 5 years old, not something you used to work with :o

Well sorry to disappoint but I just had a look on eBay and the royal wedding stuff doesn't sell after all, unless it's specifically collectable stuff like the Royal Mint coins etc. :( As for Pip Schofield, one of his autgraphs didn't sell at 99p but one with Noel Edmonds sold for almost a fiver. You can check on the price that things have sold for on ebay (to see if it's worth selling) by clicking on Advanced Search and then ticking the Completed Items box. You can see the price they sold for or whether they didn't sell at all.

TheSmallBloodiedFingerPrint · 24/10/2011 18:27

Schofe used to live in the next road to my school and we interviewed him for our school mag when he was in the broomcupboard.

Twigs, hope twigboy is feeling better.

Good work Vampy, you deserve the reward!

Spiro can I come to yours??

Hello Maud and Massive.Smile

TransylvanianVampiress · 24/10/2011 18:29

Noel Edmunds went for a fiver!! Mr blobby!!!Hmm. I didnt really think poor old schofe would be very valuable!

Got an official 60th birthday of queen commemorative plate which may get something but I doubt newspaper cuttings announcing royal births will get much - but it was interesting to read about the aftermath of the Brighton bombs which happened the Friday before the official photos of Harry came out at the weekend! And did you know that the daily telegraph used to be 20p!! Shock!

But the full glossy 24 set of the royal family publication may sell for 99p each - worth a shot!!Hmm

TransylvanianVampiress · 24/10/2011 18:30

You're not thatch older than me twigs! but yes the typewriter was more of a toy than a thing of use! Grin

Hello small!! Who went yesterday in x factor?!

LadyDamnearhell · 24/10/2011 18:36

::waves from deepest, darkest Parentsville::

::curses unbelievably slow 3G::

Hope you're all okay, can't read any of your inane witterings learned discourse because my phone is soooooo slow. With luck this will post before I go home.

My last Grandma died very unexpectedly last night. She came to my nephew's christening during the day and appeared totally hale and hearty as usual then Dad rang at 9am to say she'd died.

I have no more grandparents left now, tis a very odd feeling to be the second generation, rather than the third.

TransylvanianVampiress · 24/10/2011 18:40

Aw lady dSad so sorry to hear that. How fabulous she made the christening though - would have been even worse of she'd died the night before I would think.

It is hard losing grandparents - lost my last one about 6 years ago - dreading the next stage and my parents goingSad (or in laws)

Hope you and rest of family ok. Was it your mum or dad's side? Hope they and any siblings coping ok? xxx

SupermenacingLBD · 24/10/2011 19:04

Hello, LadyD. I wondered where you were. So sorry to hear your sad news. i suppose you could take some comfort that she went out like a lion, hale and hearty till the last, no nasty illnesses beforehand.

I do remember the end of an era feeling that sets in, however. Raising a Wine to you and yours.

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 24/10/2011 19:11

Oh, LadyD, that is sad. I remember how strange I felt when my last remaining grandparent died. I imagine your Grandma stayed on by willpower just long enough for the christening. The Bloke's mum kept going long enough to see him after his lightning dash across the country - the mind is a powerful thing. Thanks

My journey home was a huge pain in the callipygous bum - lots of train cancellations and cattle truck conditions on those remaining - but as I thought of you lot and then just as I got home. I love my iPod.

SupermenacingLBD · 24/10/2011 19:29

Luvverly choons, Maud. TD has been playing constantly in the bibliotheque of my brain.

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 24/10/2011 19:30

Oh, LadyD!!! Major hugs to you all, how terribly sad :( I imagine it's helpful for your parents (not sure if it was your mum or dad's mum) to have you and the children with them at least. Thinking of you all Thanks

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 24/10/2011 19:37

Vampy, I worked with Mr Blobby once, on an OB. I was terrified of him.

TransylvanianVampiress · 24/10/2011 19:44

He was one strange scary person thing!Grin

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 24/10/2011 19:48

But even more scared of Noel Edmonds, I bet.

TransylvanianVampiress · 24/10/2011 19:51

yup an even stranger being!

TheSmallBloodiedFingerPrint · 24/10/2011 20:42

Lady D, so sorry abbot your gran, I never really knew mine at all so don't really know what it's like to feel 3rd generation, I'm so glad she made it to the christening though.

DumSpiroScaro · 24/10/2011 21:29

Sending you my love and sympathy Lady D - hope you and yours are managing to share some happy memories too at such a sad time. Thanks

Did anyone else watch Gizzy vid after Love Game. Season 3 - it's fabulous, but hit stop at about 3.10 if you haven't seen how it all ends - I knew what happened but not who and got a bit of a Shock!

My mum had me on one of these virtually as soon as I could sit up unaided! Hmm Grin

Oh crikey, Scaro. There's a whole lot of smouldering going on there.

::Fills a bucket with Polish cordial, in case Menacing needs it::

SupermenacingLBD · 24/10/2011 21:48

I am having to watch without sound ATM, Spiro, lost my earphones and folk still about. Love the visuals though, apart from the obvious bit.

I taught myself to type on a clunky old portable and can't you tell

SupermenacingLBD · 24/10/2011 21:51

Well anticipated, there, Maud. wot a dream-boat he is (Grin)

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 24/10/2011 21:52

I taught myself to type when we finally got 'puters at work and still type in the same awful 'hunt and peck' style.

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 24/10/2011 21:55

We even see his spiritual side (arf) when he is the chapel.

::Tips contents of Mr Thornton's wicker basket of fruit into the bucket, thus creating a novel Polish cordial cocktail::

SupermenacingLBD · 24/10/2011 22:00

Oh, a sort of Pimmski, delish.

{smile] @ Gizzy's spiritual side. He does a good suffering prayerful look, doesn't he? But noble, with it, under the pain.
