Who's first, me or Small? Grin

OP posts:
TransylvanianVampiress · 18/10/2011 18:19

Think I probably prefer twiggy's vampy shortening but I pretty much answer to anything really!Grin

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/10/2011 18:21

Oh and any time! I'm sure I can stretch my military discount to include those who appreciate JP's qualities?!Smile

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 18/10/2011 18:24

Sorry, Vampy, I was pulling your leg!

SupermenacingLBD · 18/10/2011 18:31

Evening all

Well, there is just no hope for me, for I found myself reflecting how very interesting Gizzy is, even with teddy ears. Blush

I am loving all the Halloween names, Small's is particularly inspired.

And Maud, i am so sorry your toe is no better. Have you no idea what caused it? Maybe something nasty in the woodshed, dropped a plantpot or a tray of pricked out seedlings on it?

I have been rocking along to the music nostalgia, but I so have so not enjoyed the hairdo's. They always looked so droopy. And they still do.

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 18/10/2011 18:38

But I thought you liked long and slightly unkempt hair, Massive?

Latest pedal theory is that I may have trodden on a wasp in the garden, but even when I am at my most distracted in the garden I think I would have remembered a wasp. I have made Mr Thornton inspect my toe for evidence of a puncture wound. Well, that's my story anyway.

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 18/10/2011 18:47

Small, it's a wall in the old bathroom that had hideous, dark red tiles on it. That wall is now going to become a storage cupboard but because there will be no natural light in the room I thought I'd paint the tiles white to lighten up the cupboard a bit, so it might be easier to find stuff on the shelves. And you have to paint tiles with gloss as emulsion doesn't stick so well, or so I've been told. So it was primer, 3 x undercoat (as such a drastic colour change) and 1 x final gloss coat. I'm not a fan of painted tiles at all but as it's only going to be a cupboard I don't care. My Dad is still making me do it all properly though. FFS, he is making me have skirting on the wall - who puts skirting in a cupboard?!?! He does all our work for free, so I can't complain, but it does cause me a lot of stress.

Sorry, that was a very long and dull paragraph about decorating - glad you asked? :)

SupermenacingLBD · 18/10/2011 18:55

Maybe it got bitten by that squirrel, Maud. It looks rather aggressive. Perhaps it is a vampire squirrel.

You are right, I do like long and slightly unkempt hair on the right person. But the 70's look is somehow so flat and lank and droopy. I like to see it dance

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/10/2011 18:56

I was about to point that out to menace that i thought she liked the long lank hair look!Grin poor toe standing on a wasp / let's hope the wasp is very well squashed now though and what a beautiful garden you have. Smile

Twigs - fascinating! I never knew that about painting tiles!HmmGrin

Am I allowed to admit that I love the Rocky horror show?Hmm

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/10/2011 18:58

Was head banging an 80's dance style then?Hmm. Lots of dancing hair then!!Grin

SupermenacingLBD · 18/10/2011 19:00

Twigs, all your hard work on cupboard interiors will pay off when you next have to imprison accommodate one of the chaRActers. They will appreciate the good finish.

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 18/10/2011 19:20

Massive, I like that :) I can hear Lucas now: you may ravish me, Twigs, but only if there's a decent bit of skirting on the wall

TheSmallBloodiedFingerPrint · 18/10/2011 20:24

. Fascinating Twigs really fascinating. [hgrin]

Maud are you sure you haven't fractured you foot? I had no idea what I did to mine and the pain came on slowly.

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 18/10/2011 20:42
TheSmallBloodiedFingerPrint · 18/10/2011 20:58

drop the skirting Twigs and step away from the lovely Small

pARGHssTheTwiglets · 18/10/2011 21:17
LadyDamnearhell · 18/10/2011 21:20

Grin. I'm busy making sugarpaste animals tonight but you lot are making me chuckle!

SupermenacingLBD · 18/10/2011 21:35

Goodness, didn't JP look fierce in Small's pic?

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 18/10/2011 21:39

What? I might have fractured my foot? But that would mean that Mr Thornton would have to carry me in his strong muscular arms, as I snuggle against his broad and manly chest, for weeks and weeks! Oh no!

::Shuts own foot in front door, just to be sure::

SupermenacingLBD · 18/10/2011 21:50

Broken does sound likely, Maud, from what you've said about your symptoms.
I have broken the odd toe a time or two myself, and painful and chipolata just about cover it. I do hope not, though.

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 18/10/2011 22:05

Oh lawks. You don't really think so, do you? But how could it just break overnight chiffonier accidents notwithstanding? Pass me a hankie.

SupermenacingLBD · 18/10/2011 22:10

You could have done it earlier and not noticed the bang. They sometimes only swell up and hurt later on.

If it is broken there's not a lot they can do with it, anyway. But maybe it isn't broken. is there anywhere reasonably accessible you can go to get it checked out?

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 18/10/2011 22:13

Argh. We have a selection of teaching hospitals nearby but it'll be very difficult for me to get to one any time soon. Do you know any doctor who does house calls, possibly by helicopter?

TheSmallBloodiedFingerPrint · 18/10/2011 22:19

Maud I have no idea how I did mine, it wasn't a full on break but a stress fracture. They can be caused by wearing high heels, running - anything it would seem. It didn't show up on my first Xray but did later as the calcification was clear to see where it was healing.

TransylvanianVampiress · 18/10/2011 22:22

They don't do very much for broken toes do they?Hmm. But always good to know. How long has it hurt for? If it is really painful I'd at least be tempted to visit a kindly GP for some drugs!! Ibuprofen over counter may not be enough even with mr T's administrations

Glad twigs and small made up and that twigs missed my sarcasm earlier about her fascinating decorating saga!! Wink

Ladyd - more sugar paste animals. What did you think of my sugar paste tanks, soldiers and guns? Not bad were they for a novice?!WinkGrin

ComeIntoTheSinisterGardenMaud · 18/10/2011 22:23

And what did you do once you knew it was broken, Small? Do I need to go and buy myself some Converse (by Royal MN appointment)?
