In any case, I think your blog is very hard to read. It's all squished onto the right side and the blocks of text are too dense. Make more paragraphs.

Hi jo. I've had a look. You've got some yummy looking recipes there, especially the churros, mmmm.

I'd say ditch the background picture, it's a bit distracting and just have a plain background, but pick some of your favourite pictures to rotate on your banner.

I know you admit your spelling and grammar might not be perfect, if you want to communicate in the written medium I'd perhaps work on it a little more as it can be quite off putting, especially the lack of paragraphs.

I think these things evolve and it takes time to find your style. Good luck :)

I had a quick look at your blog and found it a bit busy. I'd go for a simpler background (as lovely as those croissant look )

Um, I must confess that I gave up after the first click - you can easily change this though and encourage further click throughs by making it look less cluttered.

what's your motivation for sharing the day to day small details of your life with the world? serious question from a fellow aga owner who would not for a moment expect anyone else to be interested in me, my kids and my aga .

Do you think your life is particularly interesting and if so, why? Thanks .

I do indeed question the motivation behind any blogger, and we have a real life one here to ask ( one who invited feedback)...and am very interested in the reply .

My blog is stuffed to the brim with bumsmell about my life and my kids...and sometimes I wonder. Why am I doing this?

And then I think about writing a blog about WHY WHY BLOODY WHY????

And then I bake a cake or stick some shit to some other shit and I'm OK again. and write a mind bendingly boring blog about it

Why do you need to know? So you can approve / disapprove? Surely if you don't see the point you can just not read it.

Ok .Put it this way. I can tell you why I DON't write a blog.

1. my life is probably much like everyone else's so why would anyone give a stuff?

2. I can't be arsed.

But presumeably 1) and/or 2) don't apply to you and the OP. And that interests me. Hence the questioning.

I blog because not many people do what I'm doing - it's a way of connecting. And because I like to write, it gives my brain a workout. And to keep a record of things we do - it's easier to keep up with a blog than a paper diary.

I write my blog because...well, I suppose I think I'm funny and interesting.

LOTS of people probably think I'm a cunty wanker, but a few like my "writing" and to be honest, I like writing my shit, so...I'll carry on doing it, because, after all, who am I hurting?

I guess that's the point of blogging...you get to express yourself, whatever that means, and I think that's totally cool.
