HAHAHAHA ONLY JOKING!!

TA-DA!!!! I'M FINALLY HERE after much moaning on Twitter and a lost application, Mumsnet have fast-tracked my application and I'm now officially a "Mumsnet Blogger". What have I let myself in for??

Some of you may already know me, in which case "Hi" - make yourselves known.
Some of you may never have heard of me, in which case "Hi" - where the frig have you been for the past two years?
Some of you may know me from a previous life where I had a different username, in which case "Hi" - and sssshhhh we don't talk about that any more.
Some of you may know me in real life, in which case "Hi" - isn't it time you rang me and we arranged a coffee date?
Some of you have probably clicked off by now and though "weirdo", in which case "Bye".

I have been described as Tigger, Quirky and The Queen of Rants. I blog at Typecast

Really, all over the Internet? How strange?

I think everyone is welcome, SueSly. Stick round. We're all very nice I promise.

tethersend · 28/07/2011 16:59

Well I think you should all be very ashamed of yourselves.

You've let me down.
You've let yourselves down.
You've let MN down.

You big bunch of cunts.

TheRealMBJ · 28/07/2011 17:01

Sorry miss.

I can imagine scenarios whereby a person might find an argument with a 4 year old more stimulating. Possibly where anything else goes right over their head for a start.

MmeLindor · 28/07/2011 17:18

Sue
Glad to have you around. You may want to namechange though as that one is very similar to a wellknown poster on MN (in one of her guises)

MigratingCoconuts · 28/07/2011 17:38

oh goodness, I thought it was the same Sue Blush. I did wonder why she was pretending to be newish round here Hmm

purplepidjin · 28/07/2011 17:44

I thought it was hester actually!

RollingInTheAisles · 28/07/2011 18:03

Hi Typecast, welcome to Mumsnet, sorry you've had such a nasty first experience. I think your first post probably committed the MN crime of being a bit too chirpy and confident versus self deprecating and cynical which is more the accepted MN style. That said, it hardly warranted the response you got.

I think the problem is some posters love a bunfight and actively enjoy it and by replying, and your friends joining in it added fuel to the fire. But I totally understand why you wanted to defend yourself.

If you want to give the rest of us a chance we're really quite nice I promise. As for the others you probably gave them the chance to really an enjoy a day and evening in front of the computer :)

topknob · 28/07/2011 19:36

dear god, some actually want to stick up for someone who is being vindicated from her 1st post ! Someone who is intelligent and actually quite truthful. The behaviour here I would expect from a 16 yr old, not apparent grown women with children.

AnyFuleKno · 28/07/2011 19:42

Topknot. You mean victimised, I think.

There really is a lot of fuss and pretensions of offense here about swearing. From my brief foray onto the op's blog she seems to boast that she likes to bandy about 'fuck' and 'bollocks' till the cows come home.

Typecast · 28/07/2011 21:18

As I said - is it really worth starting again if some members have their claws our permanently?

LadyOfTheManor · 28/07/2011 21:24

TopKnob, oh yes and I'm a looker. They're using my face and top ten insults on their billboards too, didn't you hear?

Typecast · 28/07/2011 21:27

"From my brief foray onto the op's blog she seems to boast that she likes to bandy about 'fuck' and 'bollocks' till the cows come home."

But you may show me where I have used them threateningly or intimidatingly if you like.

purplepidjin · 28/07/2011 21:35

Show me where i did Hmm

DirtyMartini · 28/07/2011 21:37

Oh :(

I thought this was all dying down in a reasonably friendly manner after 20something stopped coming back to stir ... shame for it to kick off again. It's going to become unwieldy and tiresome, isn't it? Beyond the power of jovial chicken puns to fix.
