Cringing aside, I have to admit to feeling somewhat wibbly about that ''Look back at me'' encounter. Mr Thornton with a beard, indeed.

Has ladyD seen that vid before, I wonder, Maud?

Evening! Good to hear from you, Massive - hope RL is bearable!

LadyD, tell me you didn't type that all out for me?! I was assuming there'd be a transcript online somewhere, I hope you didn't go to a lot of trouble! Thanks very much for posting it. LOL @ "Lucas North was as hot as the equator" :) I've heard the opening two lines many times and can see how they would get stuck in one's head but I can never get beyond that to hear any more! Bless her though :) It's not Heather, btw.

Maud, am ok now, thanks as kids are in bed :) But stressed is our permanent state these days, sadly. Individually they are lovely kids but when they're in the same room together they are truly the Devil's Spawn. We have no idea what to do, other than wait for them to grow out of it. How are your two boys together, Small? (as they are the same age as my 2, ish).

But enough of my moaning, howabout a bit of the pretty?

PassTheTwiglets · 24/07/2011 19:53

I thought that was fabulous, Massive! And how lovely did he sound, wandering through the barriers to talk to her when he could so easily have just waved and walked on. What an utter sweetheart. I did think the husband's suggestion of "look back at me" was quite amusing :) Actually, that's a point - interesting that the husband knew the importance of that line! Much as I am out with DrTwigs, I don't go around sharing the exact bits that cause the Wibblethud!

TheSmallPrint · 24/07/2011 20:13

Evening All! I am wetting myself at the appalling lyrics to that song- cutting tongues out???? Thankfully my phone refused to allow me to even find the link to the song so I am quite grateful however it would let me see Massive's link either so boo hiss to that. I will look tomorrow.

Twigs my boys behaviour, or rather my over reaction to their behaviour, sometimes has had me in tears. It doesn't happen often and generally they are great together, but when SB minor is in a rotten mood SB major often chooses that time to be in wind up mode and then war breaks out. I don't have any solutions I'm afraid, mine is usually to join in the yelling. Sad I'm sorry your nice lunch was ruined.

We went to see Cars 2 today. It's very complicated and a bit much for littlies to understand I think.

It is very wrong according to the parenting books I am sure, but when the Superboys start in on this kind of behaviour, the only thing that will do the trick is Mr M at full throttle.

I saw the vid of the Song of Infamy on YT and thought it was tongue in cheek. Sort of. Somewhat. Smile

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/07/2011 20:44

Sometimes, I find, there is really no alternative to getting a little (ahem) operatic at the little darlings.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/07/2011 20:44

Ah yes, Massive, I have a very dim memory of you showing us the SOI on YT.

SupermassiveLBD · 24/07/2011 20:48

Thanks for the Gizzy vid earlier, Maudie, it fair warmed the cockles of my heart, after a hard days RL.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/07/2011 20:52

It's a cracking tune isn't it? What were your travails today? A further incursion of friends and rellies? Is that what the summer has in store?

::Proffers Polish cordial and a straw::

SupermassiveLBD · 24/07/2011 20:58
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/07/2011 21:13

It's obviously going to be a wild party tonight!

TheSmallPrint · 24/07/2011 21:14

Pass it round then. I think we all need something strong before the onslaught of the Summer Holidays.

SupermassiveLBD · 24/07/2011 21:17

Onslaught is the right word for it... tell me about it.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/07/2011 21:23

How many weeks into it are you now, Massive?

SupermassiveLBD · 24/07/2011 21:27

Oh golly I can't remember Maud, it's all a horrible blur Sad Five weeks?

TheSmallPrint · 24/07/2011 21:31

Shock and how many to go??

OP posts:
ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/07/2011 21:31

That will be the Polish cordial working, then.

SupermassiveLBD · 24/07/2011 21:35

Seven? Eight? Till mid-Sept anyway. Fortunately the PC is taking the edge off it, atm.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 24/07/2011 21:38

I'm girding my loins for Day One here.

TheSmallPrint · 24/07/2011 21:42

Good lord, that's a ridiculous amount of holiday!

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 24/07/2011 21:44

Ah well , Maud, they say the anticipation is worse than the actuality.

Ha hah...

SupermassiveLBD · 24/07/2011 21:46

It is indeed Small. And I was just looking at an article in the Graudian saying that the UK one is too long.

Ha hah, again.

LadyVenetia · 24/07/2011 22:07

Spare a thought..we've already been on holiday for 2 weeks! From July 6th - September 6th - 2 months...

I went to see Kung Fu Panda 2 today, the kids enjoyed it for sure....

PassTheTwiglets · 24/07/2011 22:09

Good luck to the UK mummies for tomorrow. Chez Twigs, we are having Whatever You Want Day tomorrow. I have said that I will let the DCs (the D stands for Devil :o) do whatever they want for one day. Although I have had to alter it to Do Whatever You Want Within Reason Day :) They are having pizza for breakfast, apparently...
