Anyone?

I will start off with a link to my latest post, a part of the story of Beth (formerly known as Dora) who moved to Geneva to escape a relationship turned sour.

This is NOT me, by the way. I have drawn on my knowledge of Geneva but it is not an autobiograpy :)

ProfYaffle -

The old template tags them with the date they were created, not published. The only way round it is to copy the entire post into a new post, then publish. Its a pain, but I would rather go through that than battle with Blogger's new template (its shite!!!)

The new blogger template works so that posts are tagged with the date they are published. But its horrible to work with, especially with pictures.

I have forgotten to copy post several times, and the date tagged is the date of creation. This means the post shows up several days back on stuff like Google reader... decreasing readership.

Your poor boy tee, that many rounds of anti b is not normal and your Gp should not be happy he has had so many!

RuthGledhill · 04/07/2011 18:00

I made a video specially for my first Mumsnet blogpost. You can watch it here...

ProfYaffle · 04/07/2011 18:01

Thanks scatcat - I hadn't even noticed there was a new template Blush

daffyd · 04/07/2011 19:56

Butterflyexperience, thanks for your comment on blog, hope your littleone is okay, its not uncommon to have reactions after mmr, normally a week after then another peak 3weeks after. But always best not to just put down to mmr and have ears, chest and throat checked. My little girl had a fever around 3 weeks after her jab. Looked at your blog, great stuff and gkad this duscussion thread s here to give us bloggers a forum to chitchat!

butterflyexperience · 04/07/2011 22:09

Thanks daffy for your kind words and advice Smile
I had no idea the fever could last for so long.
Wonder if it's also because she had two sets of jabs at once.
My surgery administers the 12 month and 13 month jab at the same time.

ScatCatShoo · 05/07/2011 04:14

Got my post up finally... in between copious amounts of sparkly cider :)

Here it is

Quick question, I haven't actually heard anything back from Mumsnet... anyone have any idea when its going to happen?

Thanks!

Tee2072 · 05/07/2011 06:43

Scat there's another thread about that some where. ElinorMN said they were getting to them as fast as possible.

Tee2072 · 05/07/2011 08:27

Here's my latest.

Also, it turns out BBL code (which is what MN smiles are written in) works on Wordpress! Who knew?

Tee2072 · 05/07/2011 08:28

Or maybe not, because now it didn't work. Some how Blush translated from my MN post yesterday to my blog. But I can't repeat it!

NEW POST
Store Cupboard Meals

Are we going to carry on with this thread, even thought the new posts are being put on the Bloggers' Network?

OP posts:
Tee2072 · 05/07/2011 13:59

I'd like to keep the thread going. That way we have the inside scoop!!

ProfYaffle · 05/07/2011 14:04

I'd like to keep it going. The only problem with the network home page is that it's a timeline so if you're not looking at the moment a favourite blog updates you miss it. At least we can come back to this thread and keep an eye out for the names we know.

Here's my latest post on dh's drinkable home brew.

DirtyMartini · 05/07/2011 14:20

Yes, let's keep this going - I think it is nice and companionable.

MmeLindor. · 05/07/2011 14:25

Agreed!

That link doesn't work

It has been said that my musings on the world of SN and disability are faintly amusing, so I thought you might like to see todays proffering Blush

My comments have been playing silly buggers lately, so feel free to PM if you have criticisms Smile

ProfYaffle · 05/07/2011 14:58

Oops try again!

butterflyexperience · 05/07/2011 16:12

DM
FAB post with the Swedish personal history. I really enjoyed reading that. I do have one suggestion though - spin it out a bit. You could have made two or even three posts out of that over a couple of weeks to get readers to come back to your blog.

NEW POST

Butterfly
that link doesn't work, but I found you anyway. Cakes looked fab.

Custardo
I bought Boursin recently as a dip - really delicious.

Purple
GREAT post again. You write so well, with humour and wit about subjects that so few people cover. Love it. Have tweeted that post with the #architect hashtag, hope that some read it.

OP posts:
Tee2072 · 06/07/2011 14:35

Purple I also tweeted your blog, using my pro designer account and the #architect. Really good points.

MMeL Adam just had his 2 year check and your post really hit home, especially as my one concern, that he has allergies or other issues underlying all his illness, can't even be addressed by the Health Visitor. We need to go see our GP for a referral. I already have one for ENT and I am hoping to get one for allergy.

Butterfly I read yours as well! I read them all on my Blog Feed! Grin

eastendmummy · 06/07/2011 14:56

I've been away from this thread for a few days but have enjoyed reading some of the latest blogs. purplepidjin your post was really witty but really highlighted to me the day to day challenges that a wheelchair user faces. Next time I have to go when I'm out, I'll be thinking of those architects and their columns and pot plants and what it means to wheelchair users.

MmeLindor - great post again, have commented.

My latest one is here From The East End to the Far East

purplepidjin · 06/07/2011 15:30

Wow thanks Blush I'll keep going on the disability theme I think, it's under publicised except in a "shock and outrage" way and MimaPants is going mainstream (so I can make some money) so this will keep my SN sensibilities in tune Grin

Butterfly I think I saw you linked by Sew Scrumptious?

I'll catch up with reading other folks' stuff when I'm home from work
