Strangers are friends you just haven't met, yet. Even when they are baddies and drive science-fiction-y submarines, wearing a smart grey lounge suit.

Night night Small and sweet drReAms.

That reminds me, how are you, Spiro

I always blame things on her but i'm just as bad myself.

Ah, Twigs! Sad I thought that link was going to be to some lovely frock.

Night Small & good evening Twigs & Massive!

I am in bed with nothing more exciting that a hot wheat bag and a cup of cocoa.

I am thoroughly dinosaured out!

SupermassiveLBD · 14/05/2011 22:41

Someone else feels the same way as you do, Spiro

PassTheTwiglets · 14/05/2011 22:42

Did Miss Spiro like it; was she scared? The T-Rex is frightening :)

SupermassiveLBD · 14/05/2011 22:50

Did everyone read the report on the South Africa SB filming in April? It's on the same site that does the screencaps...

DumSpiroSpero · 14/05/2011 22:56

She loved the T Rex - had warned her what to expect - actually I think she had to drag me & H out in the end!

She made me laugh when we went through the Human Biology exhibit. I braced myself for a load of questions about the reproduction display but she walked straight past it. Then we got to the hormones & puberty bit & she took one look at the case with the life size nude models, announced 'I'm not bothering with this - it's boring" and sauntered off!

I had a bit of a Lucas element going on though - doughnuts at the station and guess who I 'bumped into' in the Red Gallery? (see profile pics - not exciting really but it made me smile!)

DumSpiroSpero · 14/05/2011 22:59

Someone else feels the same way as you do, Spiro

It's the lesser known Hottisaurus!

SupermassiveLBD · 14/05/2011 23:13

Profile not working for me, Spiro. I'm just sayin'. In case you wonder why i didn't comment.
Your DD seems to have just the right attitude for her age re the Human Body exhibit. Easier for you, too!

Is Eurovision still on?
Wondering about it, but it's a bit like picking a scab...

DumSpiroSpero · 14/05/2011 23:17

Well yes! The profile pic is of a statue based on William Blake's 'Urizen' - Mr North's main tattoo!

I'll change my settings tomorrow so you can see it but am.off to sleep now or I'll be nodding off at the pictures tomorrow afternoon.

G'night & sweet dreams!

SupermassiveLBD · 14/05/2011 23:22

Night, Spiro, I must go myself-- no probs about the profile i just didn't want you to think I wasn't interested!!

::Staggers in, after a night of culture::

Did someone mention Eurovision?

::Throws shapes::

TheSmallPrint · 15/05/2011 08:23

I'm tired and not very happy. I am grumping with everyone due to excessive tiredness and feeling very guilty afterwards. Sad

It's my own fault really, I know Smallboy is going to be up early (5am this mrnng) but it doesn't help if I stay up watching films.

DumSpiroSpero · 15/05/2011 09:11

Oh Small, I feel your pain. DD was up at half 5 yesterday, walking round London all day and not asleep until at least half 9. She was up just before 6 this morning Confused. Does you DH not get up with them sometimes? I kicked mine out of bed pronto this morning.

I must admit that otherwise if it's silly o'clock I take DD down, sit her in front of Nickelodeon or Disney channel with her breakfast & nod off on the sofa until a more suitable getting up time Blush.

TheSmallPrint · 15/05/2011 11:18

Mr Small does get up, he wakes the whole house! SB minor is too young to fend for himself downstairs he would be frightened on his own.

Poor you yesterday, it's so hard to keep functioning without proper sleep!

DumSpiroSpero · 15/05/2011 11:45

I don't leave her on her own although I must admit I did try to encourage a bit more self-sufficiency last year when we had the kitchen done by rehoming the cereal & bowls low enough for her to help herself but she did it about 3 times then went through a 'toast' phase and decided she preferred getting me up after that.

Of course hearing her get up & crash round the kitchen was probably worse than actually getting up myself anyway. I'd rather have an earlier rise that goes to sleep ok of an evening anyway.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 15/05/2011 14:59

Has nobody got anything to say about Pif Paf Pof, then? Perhaps you're all too tired. Girl has always been a prodigious sleeper -a trait she inherits from her mother--.

PassTheTwiglets · 15/05/2011 15:16

LOL at hottisaurus, Spiro!! Glad you had a good day.

Small, I am the same as you - I was reading fanfic until past midnight last night which is insane when you know you're going to be up at 5-something. That previous child-free evening time is so good that it's hard to give it up by going to bed though, isn't it?! I think you need to get more help from MrSmall here though. You need to take it in turns to get up with SB Minor (especially at the weekends) and tell MrS he has to be quiet so you can sleep! This is what we do at weekends and we couldn't cope without one weekend lie-in. We also take it in turns to go back to bed so if it's been my turn to get up with TwigBoy then when DrTwigs wakes up I go back to bed then. It's a bit Parenting In Shifts but it's the only thing that gets us through.

Maud, I think we were all deliberately glossing over Pif Paf Pof :)

TheSmallPrint · 15/05/2011 15:55

I couldn't open pit paf pof thank the lord Grin, has noone looked at the strogbow ad? Do I need to link it?

PassTheTwiglets · 15/05/2011 16:29

Oh pants, I forgot all about the Strongbow ad! I left it streaming the other night but forgot about it! Will look now..

PassTheTwiglets · 15/05/2011 16:33

Just seen it - ooooh, it sounds so like him!!! I wonder if it is him, do you think they used his voice? Probably not, as would be too complicated/expensive to use it - but it's sooooo like him!

DumSpiroSpero · 15/05/2011 16:58

Pif paf pof just makes me think of the Great Suprendo, who I once met years ago coming out the back of a theatre without his wig on - he was not a happy chicken at being caught hairless but he did still give me his autograph (when I say years ago I was about 10).

Been to see Rio today - brilliant (I cried at the end Blush).

Found any intersting fanfic then Twigs? Linky please Wink

PassTheTwiglets · 15/05/2011 17:13

DD wants to see Rio but the reviews were a bit pants, so I'm glad to hear that you liked it.

A literal LOL from me at Great Suprendo hairless meeting!!

Fanfic - nothing new, just a, ahem, re-read. Chapter 9 has been read a few times if that gives you a clue :o I do need some new Lucas fanfic though so will have a hunt soon...

Looking at afternoon tea at Claridge's, thinking that could be a fun thing for our meet-up (and where else should we go, after all!) but it's £35 (£45 with Champers).

SupermassiveLBD · 15/05/2011 17:16

A quick hello, with the hope to be back properly later. Re the early risers, I do feel your pain, but wait! Like the Superboys, eventually you will be faced with the opposite problem, and you won't be able to get them out of bed .

About pif paf pof, I say nothing all all Confused

Who won, btw? Not the UK, I take it, or you'd all be crowing. Not.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 15/05/2011 17:41

Do you think Claridges would do you a special bulk price? And provide us with blue table cloths perhaps, in honour of the occasion?
Sorry modoms, you will have to bring your own PSMs..

That guy in the Strongbow ad sounded quite like the Man when he was ''off camera'' too, iyswim, check out the ''the making of '' vid, it's in the list on the right of the page.
