Well, must call it a night, so I shall wish you a good one, and sweet dreams of course.

DumSpiroSpero · 30/04/2011 06:55

Bleurrrgh! Too early...

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 30/04/2011 07:24

Yes twirly here too .

I saw VoD was on last night but was in bed with the rubbish freeview - meh!

PassTheTwiglets · 30/04/2011 12:10

Back later but Hugh Fakeman is temporarily on my profile now :)

TheSmallPrint · 30/04/2011 13:41

Well it's a limited view but I can certainly see a resemblance and why you would take a photo I need video footage to be really sure Grin. Does he live in your street? you lucky mare

SupermassiveLBD · 30/04/2011 14:12

Where is the hat with the corks, that's what I want to know! Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 30/04/2011 15:25

No he doesn't live in our street - I've no idea who he is... a friend of a neighbour. I could only take his pic to show you when the kids were around him, so it looked like I was taking a photo of them and not him :)

How was the BBQ, Spiro?

LadyV, a linky to the vampire fic would be lovely, thankyou! :)

SupermassiveLBD · 30/04/2011 16:02

Vampires [cshock] It must have been all those throat-kissing pics that have set you off, Twiggy! Grin

PassTheTwiglets · 30/04/2011 20:20

The vampire thing is at least 15 years old, Massive :) As am I, on this thread :)

SupermassiveLBD · 30/04/2011 20:34

Ah well, if you like vampires anyway, combining them with your other filelds of study makes sense. I can take 'em or leave 'em, me but Guy as a vampire is sort of interesting, I guess. Or did you want a vampire Lucas or JP?
Vampire Mr Thornton might work, (pace Maud) all those creepy black clothes, but vampire Harry I would not like to see!

Nazi vampire? Dwarf vampire?

DumSpiroSpero · 30/04/2011 22:04

Not into vampires and wouldn't want to sully dear Johnny, but a Thornton-esque, steampunk vampire could be good...

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 30/04/2011 22:21

Have you been doing any writing lately, Spiro? Or two busy with DD over the holidays?

PassTheTwiglets · 30/04/2011 22:26

Well, ideally Lucas or JP but LadyVenetia didn't think there were any. Guy has much the better look fro a vampire anyway.

Off to bed with a glass of something, to read The Convenient Marriage. I'm a few chapters in and loving it, even without the delicious narrator :)

SupermassiveLBD · 30/04/2011 22:31

We will have to write our own, then ,Twigs. Perhaps Spiro would oblige. Lucas would do nicely in his pale and thin period.
Enjoy your read, and night night!

DumSpiroSpero · 30/04/2011 22:34

Enjoy your book Twigs. I went to hairdressers today & downloaded the 2nd two discs to listen to - am on 3rd chapter of last disc now I think. I didn't get Rule's popularity at the beginning, but I certainly do now!

Bbq was good (notwithstanding the tragic lack of potato salad) - how was the street party?

No more writing at the mo, Massive, RL has been putting a rather sizeable spanner in the works, unfortunately. Sparky's has now had 1200 readers though Grin!

SupermassiveLBD · 30/04/2011 22:45

That is brilliant Spiro. It's a great read. What a shame you can't do more.
I was just thinking, in a guesome sort of way it'd be one way of resurrecting John Bateman, a vamp could have caught him on the way down.

And I must get TCM, sounds like fun!

DumSpiroSpero · 30/04/2011 22:47

How funny that you should mention John Bateman just as I was looking at this

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 30/04/2011 22:51

Oooh. I want one!

A calendar of course.Wink

He does look rather fetching though, in a mad, bad and dangerous to know sort of way.

SupermassiveLBD · 30/04/2011 22:54

A vamp caught him, or Sarah Caulfield turned him, but it only took gradually...

DumSpiroSpero · 30/04/2011 22:54

I want one too!

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 30/04/2011 22:57

I lied, of course. Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 30/04/2011 23:03

Right, I'd best be getting to bed as have a looong day & late night to look forward to tomorrow - sweet dreams Massive and anyone else who's looking in.

OP posts:
TheSmallPrint · 01/05/2011 06:57

Morning ladies. I keep trying to listen to TCM at bedtime but falling asleep within minutes. The Voice is too hypnotic! I have no idea what I have listened to so far.

What are you up to today Spiro? Sounds interesting...

PassTheTwiglets · 01/05/2011 07:22

Morning, Small! Funny how it's usually Spiro & Massive here late and then us in early :) I kept falling asleep to TCM as well - I must've listened to the same chapter about 5 times on my day trip to France! Spiro, I didn't find Rule that enticing at first either but yes he is certainly lovely later on. The end is one of my faves. I was a bit meh about Sylvester at first as well - he was actually quite obnoxious in places but I liked him later. Damerel however, I loved from his first word :) I think what's attractive about much of the Heyer totty is their bored indifference. You read it thinking "... but I could be the one to enthuse him!"

The street party went well thanks, Spiro, though I could've done with it ending a few hours earlier! LOL at your "tragic lack of potato salad" comment! How long do you think it will keep in the fridge for? I have soooo much left! I've got a huge lump and bruise on my cheekbone though. I was playing rough & tumble with TwigBoy but it was more rough than tumble. He jumped on to me and his head smashed against my cheek - I really thought he'd fractured it! It's looking nice and purple now - I do like a good bruise, as a sort of certificate to prove Extreme Pain :)

How did your hair turn out, Spiro - did you have the purple?! Pictures if so!!

Massive, I love your idea of Vampy John Bateman!! I really do want to write some fanfic but I don't think I could do that. Oh, you and Spiro did make me giggle with your exchange about the calendars, btw! :)

DumSpiroSpero · 01/05/2011 08:12

Not that interesting, Small. Church, then round to my parents, then dropping DD off at in-laws for a sleepover as we're going out tonight with friends as it's someone's birthday. There was a bit if aggro over the arrangements for DD so I'm anticipating that might kick off again but keeping fingers x'd that it doesn't.

Twigs, your injury sounds painful! Never ceases to amaze me how hard children's heads are!

I wimped out of having the purple streaks. Have been going to my hairdresser since I was 3 so I asked him what he reckoned & he said he thought I'd regret it. There's no guarantee what colour it will fade to and of all the people he's done that kind of thing for no-ones ever gone back to have it done again. He suggested I get some clip in hair pieces instead as I've got really thick hair so it'll be easy to hide the attachments, and he's given me details of a couple of shops that sell decent ones that can be styled like normal hair, so will give that a try instead.

Re the calendars - I have now reached the stage of being so tragic I can even tell the difference between John Bateman and Lucas North just from a photo Confused!
