Hi Spiro! Was your very discerning mum at all wild about Harry, then?

I hate food shopping. It's nice eating it all I suppose but that's a bit of a two-edged sword.

Maybe mentioning swords was a mistake [bushock]

TheSmallPrint · 25/04/2011 15:06

Dr Spiro I am taking your advice to the full!

I need to get food in too but can never be bothered. I fancy a BBQ but that means getting food so probably won't bother

TheSmallPrint · 25/04/2011 15:28

Think we need a bit of this

LadyVenetia · 25/04/2011 16:50

Thanks Small and glad you got to watch The Handsome Stranger eventually. I watched it last night on Watch and was then planning on watching The Walking Dead on Channel 5, unfortunately Miss Venetia made an appearance and since I didn't think flesh eating zombies would be her thing, after flicking around on the channels I thought, what the heck, and watched most of it again on Watch +1  Just as good the second time... And Iighy as well make the most of it while hubby was asleep since he would barely tolerate one viewing if that :sigh:

:have bored you all stupid emoticon:

SupermassiveLBD · 25/04/2011 17:16

More like a , Lady V as we couldn't get that here of course. Grin

Which reminds me, I have a birthday coming up in a while and BIL has just sent me a gift voucher so I have time to get myself something that will reach me by the day. Am I allowed to purchase Armitagiana with it, or would that be too sleazy for words?

BunnySpiroSpero · 25/04/2011 17:26

No - its your birthday pressie. My parents gave me Spooks 8 for Christmas - my dad also put £20 in my card, so I bought series 7 with it Grin!

My mum had the same problem as Small last night - dad wanted to watch 'Rome' & the only have Freeview upstairs. She'd also missed the beginning do have lent her the dvd.

I don't mind the shopping itself, it's the lugging it all indoors and putting away I'm not so keen on.

PassTheEasterTwiglets · 25/04/2011 18:13

Hi all. Hope you had a good rest-of-Easter. Sorry to hear you have a cold though, Small.

Massive, are you sharing when your birthday is (so we can have a party) or is that Classified? Hope you have a lovely day, whenever it is. And definitely fine to get some Armitigiana (what a fabulous word!) What are you thinking of buying?

We had a nice, relaxing time in Cambridge but I still wasn't feeling that great and all the blimmin' bookshops were closed! So I didn't find my Heyer books but will get them on eBay instead. We did walk about half an hour to find one bookshop which we'd heard was open but when we got there we discovered it was a Christian bookshop and we are both atheists [bugrin] It was lovely having time to ourselves though - it's amazing how QUIET it is when they are no kids around [busmile] Feel so sorry for them having to go back to school tomorrow though [busad]

PassTheEasterTwiglets · 25/04/2011 18:14

As for shopping - I nearly always do mine online as I also can't stand that lugging it all indoors thing. Not to mention that it's impossible to shop with TwigBoy. I think it's well worth the extra £3 or £4 for them to bring it to you!!

SupermassiveLBD · 25/04/2011 18:39

So you think it's okay to spend Mr Massive's brother's dosh on a Rival, then? Supposing he asks what I got? Grin
''Oh, some chick flick or other, forget now..''
''No it wasn't mum, you got Robin Hood , remember?''

I suppose I could claim it was for the boys, but they'd shop me about that too.

Glad you (sort of) enjoyed your trip, Twiggy, though it must have been disappointing about the bookshops.
If you insist on a party for me you could pick a day in mid-May, that would be close but not out-ingly specific. But please don't feel you have to.

PassTheEasterTwiglets · 25/04/2011 18:41

What about one of the audiobooks? They are cultural :)

SupermassiveLBD · 25/04/2011 18:47

Audiobooks!!! Yes, they are cultural, aren't they? And unincriminating enough to own up to, should I be asked Blush

Thanks, Twigs, problem solved!

PassTheEasterTwiglets · 25/04/2011 18:57

Of course you must have a party, Massive!! [any excuse for Fizzy Gizzy emoticon]

I do hope you don't fall victim to the current outbreak of SMFV - I hear this strain is particularly virulent... [buwink]

TheSmallPrint · 25/04/2011 19:16

Hey Twigs, glad you had a nice time in Cambridge, it's a lovely city.

I went and did the shop and took Smallboy Major with me to 'help' Hmm. just had a lovely feta salad with tiger french bread and a nice cold rose in the garden - bliss Smile

the wedding episode of VoD is on at 8.45 tonight Lady V and Spiro if you missed it yesterday. Trying to think how to get Mr Small to let me watch it...

BunnySpiroSpero · 25/04/2011 20:08

it's only £4.89 at Amazon at the mo...

TheSmallPrint · 25/04/2011 21:29

He didn't let me watch Angry said we'd seen it already.

SupermassiveLBD · 25/04/2011 21:42

Looks like Amazon can get set for an invasion, then Wink

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/04/2011 22:03

Good evening, all.

::Puts a shoal of chocolate fish on the sideboard::

I'm just back from a few days in the city of amoouuurr with dear, dear Claude

BunnySpiroSpero · 25/04/2011 22:05

Was that the state you left him in Maud? Wink

Lucky you! Did you have a lovely time?

SupermassiveLBD · 25/04/2011 22:07
Maud and Claude, pure poetry!

For Spiro's mum, too, if I remember correctly?

TheSmallPrint · 25/04/2011 22:09

No, I will stick to the basement or repeats on Gold - daytime ones though!

Think I'm going to get an early night and listen to Lord Rule, I'm feeling quite rough so it may do me good.

TheSmallPrint · 25/04/2011 22:11

Oh sorry cross posting! Hi Maud, why were you in Paris? A special occassion?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 25/04/2011 22:12

Bonne nuit, Petite!

::bisous::

Seeing you are a chum, Spiro, I'll let you have a preview of my holiday snaps. Ooh la la!

DumSpiroSpero · 25/04/2011 22:14

The early night or Lord Rule, Small? Hope you feel better tomorrow.

Has anyone else done the royal wedding name thing? Prefix 'Lady' then Grandmothers first name, then double barrel name of first pet & the road you grew up in. That makes me...

Lady Maud Smokey-Hobart Grin!
