ahh I see Maud

Have fun today Smile

PassTheChocolateTwiglets · 20/04/2011 14:38

The other band I discovered by accident was The Kaiser Chiefs, having been singing 'I Predict A Riot' for months without knowing what it was. Love all their stuff now and even the album tracks - can't rememebr the last time I listened to album tracks! They also gave rise to one of my fave jokes ever...

Did you know that The Kaiser Chiefs are touring London next month? I'm not sure what hotel they're staying in, but I predict The Hyatt.

:o

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 20/04/2011 14:59

Ha ha,Twiggy! That joke is what you might call a laff riot! I haven't got much further than Muse, with all these new-fangled groups or bands or whatever they're calling themselves these days. That is if you ignore the one isolated Fix You phenomenon. And have you noticed how no one sings anything any more? They perform it.

I hope everyone is not too bad today, my time has flown by, busy busy busy and nothing to show for it, though I do have a pot of stew on, I suppose.

I wonder how the Smallboys are faring, with their mysterious Aliments?
And has Spiro been able to enter JP for the Knobbly Knees contest?

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 20/04/2011 15:02

Not aliments Ailments

PassTheChocolateTwiglets · 20/04/2011 16:24

I haven't got much further than Muse, with all these new-fangled groups or bands or whatever they're calling themselves these days.

I only know that one from the Guy vid, is the rest worth a listen? Speaking of Guy, harumph, sulk... MissTwiglets got up this morning and put the rest of RH S2 on and has gone ahead without me! She had watched 3 episodes by the time I came downstairs, which shows you how early the mornings start in our house :)

And speaking, in turn, of S2 - Massive, am I right that you have seen S2 but just dont have the DVD? That's what I assumed but now I am worried that you actually haven't seen all of S2 and I've been giving spoilers for you. I hate spoilers and MissTwiglets has been teasing me with them all morning.

Ah well, back to clearing out the shed. Urgh, the spiders, the spiders.... are there any strong men who could protect me from these Awful Arachnids, I wonder?

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 20/04/2011 17:01

Muse are fantabuloso, Twiggers, great stuff to push a vacuum cleaner about to, or any such strenous task, you can really give it some welly. The CD I have is called Black Holes and Revelations

It's perfectly all right to talk about RH2 as much as you like, as I have seen the full series on telly. I've seen it twice actually apart from the dreaded Marian kebab episode which I could only bring myself to watch once. (I am shamed and disgusted with myself to admit it's Gizzy I feel for. How twisted is that? Shock Blush Sad )

I was wanting the DVDs though so I could drool over him at will in his sexiest leathers and thrill to his voice telling Marian the swooniest things to complete my archive.

PassTheEasterTwiglets · 20/04/2011 17:05

OMG, I just found Shelob in my shed!!! Have had to come indoors to steady my nerves for a few minutes. Am resenting doing it anyway, as clearing out the shed is clearly a blue job, not a pink job.

I have only seen the actual kebabing clip as a brief part of a YT vid, but nowt else. I can completely understand feeling for Guy though! That heat-of-the-moment, OMG what have I done? panic...

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 20/04/2011 17:17

Yikes, Twiggy, how awful! My grand-dad had this creepy old shed, I can smell the smell of it now, all raw wood and damp earth. I could swear it must have been a sub-space portal leading straight to Planet Spider, it was thick with them and their webs. were like yards and yards of filthy sticky muslin.

Yes, poor Gizzy the expression on his face when he realises what he's done is heart-breaking. Sad

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 20/04/2011 17:49

And while I was browsing, Twiggy I found this apt liitle item. (DM link warning) Was this what you had in your shed, then?

PassTheEasterTwiglets · 20/04/2011 18:40

Ewe on the picture and the shed description, Massive!

Spiro, if you are reading, check out my new FB profile pic Wink :o

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 20/04/2011 19:32

I had to Google to find out who Shelob is. I'm going to struggle with the Hobbit, aren't I?

TheEasterBunnysSmallFootPrint · 20/04/2011 20:32

I have no idea who Shelob is.

Sadly I know quite a lot of current music as I listen to Radio 1 and can converse quite freely with my neices and nephews who probably think I am a saddo oldie I like to listen to all sorts though not just modern stuff, I grew up in the kitchen with mum who had the radio on permanantly and also with my oldest sibling 9 years older than me we had quite a range of music played in our house. The Smallboys love their music also and will demand Muse, Lady Gaga, Arctic Monkeys, Plan B etc. when we are in the car, they are quite fond of the curent song.

Smallboy Major is still ho but I think it's just one of his feverish phases that he has every few months. He will be OK.

Twigs I want to see your profile!

TheEasterBunnysSmallFootPrint · 20/04/2011 20:32

hot not ho!

DumSpiroSpero · 20/04/2011 20:35

Evening all!

Not a spider fan then Twigs? You wouldn't have liked what they had here yesterday then on the door of the Amazing Animals show! I can't update Facebook at the mo so can't see your profile pic - have you changed it from the Dr Who one?

We've just seen a brilliant Lady Gaga tribute act - no disco sticks sadly as it's a family show - DD was wigging out right in front of the stage and came shooting back saying 'Mummy she touched my hand I'm never washing it again!' Grin

Local band are on next - I was at school with their drummer!

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 20/04/2011 20:41

I'm glad to hear that Small Dude Boy Major is a bit better. I love the idea too of MissSpiro wigging out in front of the stage.

Twiggy - Are you willing to PM me a link to your FB profile, or is that reserved for the Twitterati?

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 20/04/2011 20:49

Glad you are having fun, Spiro

I suppose I really ought to read The Hobbit

TheEasterBunnysSmallFootPrint · 20/04/2011 20:52

What is going on with Musnet now? What is that stupid drop down thing with twitter on?!

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 20/04/2011 20:57

I think it's a further step towards modernity, Small. Like the recent changes to the 'add your message here' box.

I'm so with-it, daddy-o.

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 20/04/2011 20:58

I hate it too, Small. You can switch it off but only temporarily, there is a teensy cross sign to the right of it, if you look carefully.
Obviously they haven't heard of the Golden Rule : if it ain't broke, don't fix it.'

DumSpiroSpero · 20/04/2011 20:58

I don't think.my daughter is going to be reticent when.it comes to celeb stalking when she's older Confused

OP posts:
TheEasterBunnysSmallFootPrint · 20/04/2011 21:02

Thanks Massive, it's off, for now. Blimey that was irritating.

Spiro, a chip off the old block then is she? Grin

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 20/04/2011 21:02

Unlike her mum, then, Spiro? Wink
Mind you ,some slebs seem to like being stalked.

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 20/04/2011 22:01

Shall we have some music?

TheEasterBunnysSmallFootPrint · 20/04/2011 22:09

Have you got some?

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 20/04/2011 22:11
. And a lot of smouldering and black leather plus a horse and a huge sword.
