I just checked out Chocolate man on wikipedia. He's done lots of stuff - had no idea he was so prolific. He also speaks fluent French apparently.

Those aren't the real initials. They don't use the person's real initials.

Otherwise it would be a bit too easy to defeat the object of the gagging order.

Has anyone got a print copy of the Mail? When they were reporting that a member of the royal family was being blackmailed, they couldn't say who it was but the story was next to a picture of Linley riding his bike. They give clues!

This thread reminds me of a story years ago about a Premiership footballer ~(before their affairs became common practice Grin) who had had an affair and got an injunction to prevent it being published in the press....but it was eventually overturned and the story came out.

Anyway, due to him getting the injunction, the story then became front-page news but it turned out to be a very average, unknown (unless you were into football) footballer who played for a mid-table average club - I would say 'massively underwhelming' described that aswell but the story became huge because he tried to cover it up whereas if he had allowed it to be printed, I can't imagine it would have made the first 10 pages of any of the papers as it was such a non-story!!

I think this actor would have been the same on the basis that a lot of people don't seem to have heard of him and it is hardly front-page news Hmm

But this isn't just any shagging around, this is 'period actor shares prostitute with scummy footballer' shagging around...it would have got a fair bit of press I think.

Plus he would have had to tell his wife and with a gagging order in place there is still a chance she hasn't sussed it's her hubby. If she's not up to date on current news she might not even know there's a story about a married actor's extra marital activity being suppressed.
