I thought the waiting 6 months bit was about a "tv/radio presenter, one half of a high profile media couple" who was having an affair and the woman he was having the affair with was pregnant. She had the baby, did a DNA test (p'raps they went on Jeremy Kyle) but the baby wasn't his.

Lots and lots of hints about this in Private Eye and elsewhere over the last few months and especially this week.

Yes teej - that's it. I thought it was all old news too but I think the recent development was the dna test. Definitely think something's happening on that one because Private Eye and others have been mentioning it/hinting a lot.

I do wonder how long these high profile figures can carry on using their money to stop the publication of these stories. It's particularly distressing for those of us losers who love a bit of inane sleb gossip!

according to twitter, all journalists know who it is due to an email from the persons legal team re the gagging order. it will come out, it's bound to. caitlin moran tweeted something to the effect 'can't believe it's him, wish it wasn't'

The french wife came up in reference to EMcG. It's not in the original article and EMcG has been ruled out.

Matthew Wright said this morning that he saw the actor concerned on Hampstead Heath with his wife recently. Dont know if that helps narrow it down at all.

Chocolate bar man DOES have an international reputation - he has been in loads of stuff, film, that bonnet drama did really well across the pond etc etc. Supposedly, the original Daily hell article also contained a ridiculous amount of the exact same phrases as another article (also Daily Hell), where he went on about how much he loved his wife etc etc etc. But both articles have now been pulled.
