PassTheTwiglets · 10/04/2011 07:16

Hello, you.

Sorry to have been absent for ages - I only went to France for one day (had a nice little reminisce about Guy Thornton-North :o) but then RL occured and I feel like I've been away for ages!

So what have I missed? I'll read back at some point... hope everyone is ok!

Was just going to ask what a WFS was but I've got it now. Hee hee, I love our acronyms :)

One of the things I like about when we post pics from the Screencap gallery is checking out the other ones either side. Sometimes the transition from one pic to another is interesting, as in the ones after Massive's "made my day" photo. Look at this pic and then click to the previous photo - that makes me shiver a little :) It's a bit "oh, Twiggy, ha ha, we are having fun, aren't we?.... Now STOP IT AND COME HERE" :o It's more light-hearted if you go to the stern pic and then click to the smiley one but I prefer it the way I've described!

Attempting to catch up....

Small, gosh, sorry to hear about the continuing foot saga. I had plantar fasciitis and there is no way that's what you have! Silly doctor.

Maud, you asked about MissTwiglets' tuition. It's an hor, once a week, for 10 weeks. I've said I'll take her to see Mamma Mia if she does it. I signed her up for Mathletics and she does enjoy that so hopefully with that and the tuition she will get up to scratch.

What is it about school she dislikes, the poor poppet?

It's not really that she dislikes school, she just has problems being away from me. (Well, that and the fact that it interferes with her playing The Sims, sigh...). If I could sit in the back of the class all day then she'd be fine!

That was a very funny exchange about the tulips :) They're my favourite flower too, Small! (along with those giant daisies). I LOL'd at your "they don't confirm" description of them!! Oh, Maud, you said that manure is only any good if it's well-rotted - does that mean that I shouldn't be chucking the rabbit's little offerings on my veg patch? I have been trying to teach her to poo on the veg patch to no avail - she insists on going right where the slide lands :o

Spiro, ROFLMBO at "foot well" :o

LadyV, I am v.v.v. Envy of your wisteria. I would LOVE some as it reminds me of my beloved Venice. But we get no sun at the front and I'm scared to have it in the back because I think the leaves are poisonous? Also it seems that you have to have it for aeons before it actually grows large enough to look impressive (like my other favourite, magnolia trees).

Massive, is your lurgy better?

Well I think I'm all caught up now! We are off to Cafe Rouge for lunch (gotta love Tesco tokens!) and then I hope to sit in the garden with a mojito whilst DrTwiglets puts the new trampoline together.

Morning Ladies! It appears I have caught the Academy lurge so I had an early night last night, lulled to sleep by wicked Uncle Sylvester (so am going to have to listen to the last few chapters again to find out what happens in the end!).

I don't feel too bad - just throaty, nose-y and v.tired.

Had to laugh at your 'ticklish feet' pic Massive - I thought you'd actually found a photo of The Man's feet and had a bit of a fetish thing going on Confused!

H is away tonight staying at a friends as he is on a course in London tomorrow and has an early start, so I am planning to do some revision (N & S, VoD!)

SupermassiveLBD · 10/04/2011 12:39

Welcome Back Twiggy, we missed you!

I know what you mean about the screencaps, and sometimes if you click through one after the other, you get a major frisson , because the still picture then seems to move.

Spiro, I know feet photos exist because I've seen them. I don't know about a foot fetish, though, being very captivated by the hands, but I always wonder about that ''rub my feet'' quote from RH. Smile

SupermassiveLBD · 10/04/2011 12:50

Okay, I am conceding de feet

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/04/2011 13:16

Does that mean you're going to toe the line?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/04/2011 13:21

Whoops. Now I'm for the chop.

SupermassiveLBD · 10/04/2011 13:38

Oh kerrumbs, how are you on black floppy shirts, Maud? Artlessly half-untied laces, and all...

How anyone could contemplate lopping that head off those shoulders is beyond me.

LadyVenetia · 10/04/2011 17:17

Hi girls!! Just popping in - on way back home.

Anyone else see this tweet recently from Clive Standon who played Archer in the last few episodes of RH S3.

Clickie

SupermassiveLBD · 10/04/2011 17:38

I missed that, but ah, bless, Lady V. What was the context, do you know?

PassTheTwiglets · 10/04/2011 17:50

Yes, what did he mean, LadyV? What's coming his way? Besides us lot, that is :)

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 10/04/2011 17:59

I should have thought if he meant us, he'd have been a bit sorry for him Twiggy! Grin

LadyVenetia · 10/04/2011 18:28

I think he must mean in the context of the Hobbit movie.

DumSpiroSpero · 10/04/2011 19:03

I should have thought if he meant us, he'd have been a bit sorry for him Twiggy!

Nah...he'd have been totally Envy.

While we're (sort of) on the subject - is anyone actually up for having a RL get together when Captain America comes out? I would be definitely be up for maybe meeting up in London on Friday 29th July (premiere date) for lunch or afternoon tea and then stalking RA on the red carpet* going to see the film.

I know we've talked about it before, but if anyone does fancy it (or on another date if that one's not practical) it would be nice to set a date.

I also have an ulterior motive as this place has it's £1 sale on this week and if we've agreed to meet up before the end of July I'll probably see if I can get a cheap room and make a weekend of it Grin.

*Am not serious - I would have to drink a hell of a lot at lunch/tea to have the balls to do that!

SupermassiveLBD · 10/04/2011 20:41

Sounds like heaven, Spiro but very unlikely I could make that date Sad
Making a weekend of it sounds great, too, shopping could be done and all sorts. Though after breathing the same air as The Man for even those few brief minutes, my leg-bones might not have recovered enough starch to trawl the halls at Harvey Nicks.

PassTheTwiglets · 10/04/2011 21:00

I'm in! Wow, £1 room - I'd probably try to do that too, as would be tricky getting home late. Oh we should SO stalk him though - I stalked Kevin Spacey and it wasn't embarrassing at all. As for watching the film though - how does this work? Plebs can't get tickets to premieres, can they? And don't premieres happen before a film officially opens? Would be brilliant to watch it with some understanding chums though.

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 10/04/2011 21:13

I suppose discreet stalking on the red carpet is acceptable. In a way that's what they are there for, after all, for everyone to see how popular they are with the public at large.

I mean, no one's going to dress like a strumpet and wave banners with lewd messages.

Are they?

PassTheTwiglets · 10/04/2011 21:20

I mean, no one's going to dress like a strumpet and wave banners with lewd messages.

Oh. Okay :(

Just done some brief Googling and yes premieres are usually a few days before film opening and you can't buy tickets. Will have to get thinking caps on. Damn, wish I still worked at the Beeb, we used toet tickets for everything in the early days :(

Maybe it's as well, Twigs, I have lowered the tone far enough as it is.
