Here we go again, ladiez!

Let's all make passes at Harry in glasses

Snuggly!

Beautiful smile

Dawn French is one lucky lady

Who wouldn't want to come home to this on their sofa?

Courier man would make anyone feel better whatever the ailment

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/04/2011 21:26

Indeed he would. If only he could be persuaded to wear a cravat.

::sigh::

TheSmallPrint · 08/04/2011 21:28

Wah! Can't open any of the YT clips. I just remembered I was supposed to translate the Harry vid for you the other day Maud, sorry!

So what's the update on the tv situation?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/04/2011 21:34

Here's Mr Interflora again

Ah yes, the translation. In your own time, Small, in your own time.

The new telly will allegedly arrive tomorrow.

::Will believe it when I see it emoticon::

SupermassiveLBD · 08/04/2011 21:37

Hmm that's a good way of directing attention away from one's feet, Maud.

Small, where's that fan of yours, we need it. Perhaps you better source one for permanent loan to the faculty.

Searches for stills for Small, who must be phone-bound

TheSmallPrint · 08/04/2011 21:38

How exciting, a new tele arriving! I hope they don't let you down this time.

SupermassiveLBD · 08/04/2011 21:43

I hope so too. How glorious if it is indeed The One. My, Maudie, what a great big telly you have, sez Mr Thornton...

The bliss ! but I must not get over-excited in case things don't work out.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/04/2011 21:48

::Expects that Small and Spiro will now need CPR::

Indeed, Massive, it's only (if I recall correctly) two inches smaller than you own.

TheSmallPrint · 08/04/2011 21:50

thank you Massive, I am indeed phone bound.

Where is everyone tonight? Don't tell me people actually have RL stuff to do on a Friday night? Envy

TheSmallPrint · 08/04/2011 21:51

Ah but two inches can make a big difference Maud.

TheSmallPrint · 08/04/2011 21:53

To picture quality, obviously.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/04/2011 21:55

Please don't tell me, Small, that after all our woes, we are going to end up with an unsatisfactorily-sized telly! Remind me, how big is yours?

::develops televisual inferiority complex::

SupermassiveLBD · 08/04/2011 21:55

Guy is preening now to think he's got a bigger one than Mr Thornton, Maud.
Shock

I guess Twiggy isn't back yet from the continong, Small. Spiro will be along later, she said, but I thought I'd lower the tone now and save her the trouble. Grin

TheSmallPrint · 08/04/2011 21:58

Ours is a teeny tiny 32" one Maud so no need to worry on that front. Mr Small has been giving the glad eye to the newer models but we're sticking with this one for now cos we don't have any money.

TheSmallPrint · 08/04/2011 22:05

Maud I meant to ask before, where's the best place to buy the climbers? Are there any reputable on line companies?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/04/2011 22:08

::Studiously ignores Massive's lewd insinuations about the size of Guy's cathode ray tube::

Well, we were only forced into this situation by the lack of any functioning telly in the house. But Bloke does seem to be becoming a gadget nerd - he was getting very excited tonight about some gizmo wot will make one's laptop function as a telly. Mind you, it would have been good to have bought one of those three weeks ago.

TheSmallPrint · 08/04/2011 22:13

Bloke sounds like Mr Small Hmm always looking at useless expensive flashy gadgets.

SupermassiveLBD · 08/04/2011 22:16

What is it with men and gadgets? I was re-listening to LOTN last night on my bed of pain, and thought much the same when I heard Uhtred waxing lyrical about how cool it was that Serpent-breath was made from all those different sheets of steel etc etc.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/04/2011 22:16

::Drags the tone of the conversation out of the gutter::

David Austin are the biggest name in English roses. Otherwise, you could try Crocus, who are smart but legendarily expensive, or Parkers, who are not. Have you decided what you want? In the way of climbing plants, that is.

::whoops there goes the tone of the conversation again::

DumSpiroSpero · 08/04/2011 22:16

Evening Ladies!

Out TV's relatively little - 37" I think, but I wouldn't swear to it - I know we looked at a 42" and decided it was too big.

BTW Maud, The Crimson Petal was on BBC4 so if the new telly does arrive tomorrow you can catch up on iPlayer - there are three more episodes.

Spiro will be along later, she said, but I thought I'd lower the tone now and save her the trouble.

It's no trouble, honestly Grin. And I'm glad to hear, Small, that something is working its magic and making your foot well

SupermassiveLBD · 08/04/2011 22:23

I always wonder at the motives of the person who did that screen shot.

TheSmallPrint · 08/04/2011 22:23

Grin Spiro how long have you been waiting to work that picture in!!

Maud I like the idea of the roses, I will scour the t'internet tomorrow and see what's on offer.

DumSpiroSpero · 08/04/2011 22:24

I don't! Wink

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 08/04/2011 22:24

Bloke's interest in gadgets is very specific. They have to be computer- or phone-related. With anything else, he's happy to stay at the technological level of the wind-up gramophone. He can't take pictures in poor light anymore because I dropped his camera about five years ago and now the pop-up flash dangles off the corner forlornly.

DumSpiroSpero · 08/04/2011 22:25

Just occurred to me this afternoon, but had been doing RL stuff, then walk to the beach & back and long soak with new book so it took a while to get here!
