Well, this should guarantee us some visitors if it comes up on 'Most Active'.

one for the mantelpiece

Ok, the next 2 aren't John Standring, but it would be rude not to...

yummy!

Ok I have less than an hour til Silk so I am going to watch some selected bits of N&S in peace. If my Dvd player behaves itself, it has been rather tetchy recently.

TheSmallPrint · 29/03/2011 20:35

I guess you are all watching something too? I wonder what?

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 29/03/2011 20:37

Excellent choice, Small. In fact, I think I might savour a few choice moments too. and .

Am mulling over Massive's description of Guy as plain and simple. He's hardly plain although he's possibly not the brightest button in the box.

::runs for cover::

TheSmallPrint · 29/03/2011 20:57

Just coming to the second scene Maud.

Grin at Gizzy being one a simple Guy.

SupermassiveLBD · 29/03/2011 21:04

Maud! Now do I ever make rude comments about dear Johnny? If you keep on heaping derision on the Dark Knight I shall conclude you have a secret pash for him but are trying to fight it. Grin

They all have their little foibles, gorgeous though they all are. And my poor Gizzy is oretty messed up. I used to think he was the most messed up but nowadays maybe Lucas can give him a run for his money.

PassTheTwiglets · 29/03/2011 21:04

Did Silk get any better, Small? I watched the first one because of Lovely Rupert but I found it very dull and didn't bother to watch anymore. Rupes had Very Bad Hair in it too.

I'm going to price up some Disney dates for you now - will be in touch in a bit.

PassTheTwiglets · 29/03/2011 21:05

Oh, I haven't heard the word 'pash' in years!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 29/03/2011 21:05

Nobody could ever call him plain, though

::wibbling at N&S on Small's bahalf::

SupermassiveLBD · 29/03/2011 21:13

I have just been reading about Stockholm syndrome and similar relationships. Makes for uncomfortable reading

No wonder he's messed up.

But hardly plain indeed, that pic is mind-blowing

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 29/03/2011 21:14

Oh, Massive, you know I'm just pulling your black leather-clad leg! Besides, it isn't derision. I feel quite indulgent towards Guy and his little foibles such as arson, treason, murder and frequently being outwitted by a band of brigands. I have no pash for Guy although I can imagine you inviting him for a midnight feast in the dorm, what fun but I am cognisant of his aesthetic charms.

I would agree that Lucas is the most messed up, by quite some margin.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 29/03/2011 21:17

Stockholm Syndrome is why, if we're breaking the habits of a lifetime being serious and sensible, I thought it was highly implausible that Lucas would have been allowed back on the Grid after he came back from Mockba.

TheSmallPrint · 29/03/2011 21:20

I really enjoy Silk actually, it's very good although agree about RPJs hair.

Maud I had to switch over so Johnny is simmering for me.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 29/03/2011 21:21

What is this Silk of which you speak?

TheSmallPrint · 29/03/2011 21:24

Didn't they want to use him as a double agent? Or was that the Russians? Confused

SupermassiveLBD · 29/03/2011 21:25

it was highly implausible that Lucas would have been allowed back on the Grid after he came back from Mockba.

That's why I think there was something very funny going on altogether, with Harry, and Lucas/Bateman etc etc, involving brainwashing, mind-altering drugs, whatever. Either that or the script-writers are idiots, which last is highly unlikely of course, as we all know.

TheSmallPrint · 29/03/2011 21:27

BBC1 about barristers and legal stuff. I like all that though, I also like Law & Order.

SupermassiveLBD · 29/03/2011 21:30

Ah yes, I understand now, Small, barristers, as in ''taking silk'' Maybe one day the international Beeb will deign to show it to us

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 29/03/2011 21:33

So, have I correctly deduced that this involves RPJ in a horsehair wig?

DumSpiroSpero · 29/03/2011 21:40

Massive why are you reading about Stockholm syndrome? Confused

Am just sticking my head round the common room door to wish you all sweet dreams as I am in desperate need of an early night.

See you on the morrow no doubt.

Occassionally Maud but the rest of the time it's just a bit 'slick'.

Night Spiro. Sleep well.

SupermassiveLBD · 29/03/2011 21:47

Goodnight Spiro, and sweet dreams.

Foreign Office Advisory to Travellers from Mockba, Kabul, Zimbabwe, Dibley, Milton Northern and Nottingham: never get in a taxi with Spiro

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 29/03/2011 21:50

Good night, Spiro!

It's very kind of Small to give me a running commentary on what's on the telly but I won't presume on that kindness any longer. I'm off to bed. Goodnight all.

SupermassiveLBD · 29/03/2011 21:56

Goodnight, poor Maud. Here is wishing you sweet dreams, and a speedy union with the brand-new televisual apparatus of your choice.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 29/03/2011 21:58

No, I'm not poor Maud. I am quite enjoying some aspects at least of the telly-free lifestyle. Have you and Gizzy, ahem, caught up yet, Massive?

Sweet dreams to you too, all in good time.

TheSmallPrint · 29/03/2011 22:01

Night Maud.
