For their brains, talent and looks? Just to counteract of increasing list of women that put our backs up? For me I would say Jo Whiley she's bright, attractive and looks great for a mum of four at 45. I love her! (Now I know someone is probably going to put her in our other list!)

Madeline Albright - read her autobiography, and that woman is awesome on legs
Natalie Portman - but it's kind of a love hate thing, as she's just so, perfect, it really annoys me, but still, she seems so lovely
Drew Barrymore - would love to hang out with her
Baroness Kennedy
Reese Witherspoon
Salma Hayek
Eva Mendez

AbsDuCroissant · 28/02/2011 15:18

And, Caitlin Moran and India Knight (I have it on highest authority that they occassionally hang out. I wish they'd invite me along)
the GoFug girls. I want to marry them both

Likesshinythings · 28/02/2011 15:29

Likesshinythings · 28/02/2011 15:50

I stalk follow them on Twitter and long to be part of their gang. I probably need to get out more.....

Snorbs · 28/02/2011 15:50

I agree with an awful lot of these. The only women on my list that haven't already appeared here are Fascinating Aida.

HenriettaFarthingay · 28/02/2011 18:17

Kate Adie. I wanted to be her.

LifeInTheSlowLane · 28/02/2011 18:21

Miranda Hart because she is brilliantly funny
Paloma Faith because she is v talented and delightfully bonkers
Fiona Bruce because she is super intelligent and I love the thing she does with her eyebrow Smile

Who is India Knight, isn't she that posh bird who designs kaftans or am I getting mixed up?

TanteRose · 01/03/2011 06:50

India Knight writes for the Times..and write books, and is generally rather ace.

TanteRose · 01/03/2011 06:52

all about India

kittya · 01/03/2011 09:23

I was actually getting her mixed up with the India that was bridesmaid to Charles and Diana!! Smile

Margaret Atwood

Mo Molem (RIP)

and I like Helena Bonham Carter. She does her own thing in a hugely oppressive profession. No one sneers at her husband for doing the same.

AbsDuCroissant · 01/03/2011 16:29

I've just thought of another one. Mila Kunis. Loved her in that 70s show, loved her in Family Guy, love her in Black Swan.

kittya · 01/03/2011 18:45

Emily Mortimer

woopsidaisy · 02/03/2011 10:31

Helena Bonham Carter

Sue Perkins-REALLY want my sis to marry her!

Clare Balding

Vivienne Westwood

Helen Skelton-agree with glovesoflove

Ellen De Generes

Pretty much all of the above...but am a little bit shocked at Lily Allen being mentioned a few times...

TricityBendixx · 02/03/2011 15:19

Tamsin Greig (Fran from Black Books)
Jessica Stevenson (Daisy from Spaced)

AbsDuCroissant · 03/03/2011 15:31

Article about Salma Hayek. she sounds awesome

nomorecake · 04/03/2011 15:31

From Hollywood - Eva Mendes.

runnyhabbit · 05/03/2011 21:15

Agree with every single one of these, but would also like to add Maxine Peake. Such a fab actress, can turn her hand to anything

(have met Clare Balding, she was lovely)
