Do come in. It's never too late to enrol. We have an extensive programme of rigorous academic study and a never-ending supply of Chateau Gizzy and ratafia biscuits.

I thought 'M' was a fairly tame rating - I have just read the first chapter of the Gruinard Project whilst trying to cook dinner and nearly given myself a heart attack!

PhoenixRisingFromTheAshes · 06/02/2011 18:42

Mmm, yes 3D - I mean - can you IMAGINE!!!!!????

I cannot wait!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/02/2011 18:46

Oops,Mrs LN. Do you need the doctor?

Interested in this thread?

3D sounds good in theory, Phoenix, but I am not so sanguine. What if those funny glasses you wear keep steaming up?

MrsLucasNorth · 06/02/2011 19:08

Can the doctor prescribe Bromide? Grin

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 06/02/2011 19:35

This is the young man with whom I spent the afternoon. He's tall with floppy dark hair, gifted in the nasal department and gives good smoulder. Sound familiar?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/02/2011 19:57

LOL Techno, even the cartoon ones grab one's attention.

I have just had quite a turn as I turned on the telly just wondering what was on, to be confronted by a similar kinda guy, non cartoon, clad in the leather and waving his big sword. I had no idea they did a RH repeat today.

But imagine, click, on goes the telly and

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/02/2011 19:57

friend not fried, Grin

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 06/02/2011 20:06

My young fricasse is Flynn Rider (aka Eugene Fitzherbert), the hero of Disney's Tangled. He does not have a big sword but he does have a frying pan.

An unexpected sighting of Gizzy! Has your pulse rate returned to normal yet? And did you manage not to collapse on the Limpopo Aubusson in front of the assembled multitudes?

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 06/02/2011 20:11

How was Tangled, Techno. Was going to take MissLN to see it during half term, but at the moment Gnomeo & Juliet is topping the movie wish list.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/02/2011 20:21

Ah, thanks for the enlightenment, Techno. Young Flynn has yet to make it to the shores of the GGGGL. A frying pan, eh? I have heard of beating one's swords into ploughshares but that is a new one on me.

Gnomeo Gnomeo, wherefore art thou Gnomeo? Sounds fun, but I am holding out for a Midsummer Night's Dwarf.

Luckily there were no assembled multitudes to witness my Gizzy-generated discombobulation, they had all gone out for a rhinobuger at the local MickeyD's

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 06/02/2011 20:22

Well, from TechnoGirl's perspective, Tangled was great - she's been lobbying to see it for weeks - and it certainly did have some funny moments. Although I don't know how many funny moments it had in the first fifteen minutes or so, because I was asleep (too good large a lunch in Planet Hollywood). Ahem.

I would have preferred Gnomeo and Juliet, I think, but we have to wait another week for that.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/02/2011 20:22

Well you know what I meant

itsalarf · 06/02/2011 20:24

Mine enjoyed Tangled, although they were scared at one point. This does not mean that it is scarey, just that they are cowardy custards. Years ago I read the sequel someone wrote to "Gone With the Wind". Name escapes me. Think I had to read it because I was so cheesed off with the ending of the original.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/02/2011 20:32

Scarlett I think, Larf, I looked it up on Wiki anyway, here

I have to admit I was disappointed with it. I suppose it was because the original was, well, iconic.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 06/02/2011 20:33

Yours are probably younger than mine, larf. And mine is scarier than anything in the film. Hmm.

This is completely, endearingly bonkers - .

Evening all.

Mrs LN may I suggest the I am not a whore clip and see how your DH reacts Grin

3D Hobbitt? Is that such a good idea with a nose as proud as The Mans??

I fear with two boys, tangled is not high on out viewing list.. DS1 has been invited to Gnomeo and Juliet but does not want to go. He keeps wanting to watch Ironman and Wolverine (without too much encouragement from me!) and so I set the scene by letting himknow that CA is out soon and that it was part of the great Marvel heritage and he would surely enjoy it Wink.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 06/02/2011 20:51

I am sure the 3D nose will be a thing of infinite beauty, Small!

I saw a glimpse of your Mr Jackman in one of this afternoon's trailers. Quite comely, isn't he? And I realised overnight that the JP vid that Theresa asked about yesterday - the one in which Michelangelo Moves - was a link from I Am Not A Horse, which I seem accidentally to have been watching, in another slightly different case of SMFV.

OP posts:
LaVieEnTechnicolor · 06/02/2011 20:52

How old are SmallBoys Major and Minor?

OP posts:
itsalarf · 06/02/2011 20:56

Mine are 7 and 4, but wimps overall!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/02/2011 21:05

Interesting vid there , indeed, Techno, but the costumes were a dead give-away. Didn't they notice?

Small, don't you like the nose or something?
Teri thinks it's wibblesome and so do I...

I had a good smile at your underhand techniques for ensuring cooperating kiddies at the cinema.
''Mum, he's the baddie, you should not be cheering for him''

Anyone think from what they've seen so far of the across the pond Captain, that he looks a bit of a PLF?

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 06/02/2011 21:12

Yes, it's completely loopy, isn't it? The fifty-odd years disparity in the costumes is just one delightful aspect of its loopiness.

I have seen nothing of the Captain. Should I be worried, allowing for the fact that neither Marvel comics nor Tolkien float my boat, The Rover's been postponed and I may soon wear out my N&S dvds? All I have left are my memories.

::sniff::

::Braces self in an we'll always have Paris the Old Vic kind of way::

OP posts:
MrsLucasNorth · 06/02/2011 21:16

I haven't been looking at the Captain very much.

..and SmallPrint - ROFL at your IANAW suggestion (dh giving me another funny look)

I am still wading through umpteen pages of fan smut fic...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 06/02/2011 21:23

Ah, Techno, but you have the truest memories of us all. You alone experienced the magic of the Night of the Blue Moon Nightingale, when you walked among the stars and breathed in molecules of the air of Paradise, Innit.

LaVieEnTechnicolor · 06/02/2011 21:25

I'm off in a bit to do something improving, but here's a little gem I excavated from the basement.

. Everything you need on a Sunday evening.
