Sounds perfect, MrsLN. Though would swap the Toblerone for Cadbury's Whole Nut myself.

Did he have nmuch screen time in Cold Feet very much? I do remember watching and thinking "hello there!" but can't remember much else.

MrsLucasNorth · 28/11/2010 15:03

Not a huge amount but what was there was very nice - even if the character was a bit of a turnip!

PrairieOyster · 28/11/2010 17:42

I've watched the clips of Cold Feet on YT - I think everythings on there. I never watched it much when it was on.

Did you know that one of the producers of Cold Feet Andy Harries exec produced Strike Back for Left Bank Pictures? I went to the BAFTA preview screening of Strike Back in April and afterwards there was a Q&A with AH and a couple of others and he commented that he remembered RA from CF and that he had been great in it.

I am forever grateful to Cold Feet for that scene by the pool, mind!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 28/11/2010 18:39

So are a lot of people, I guess, Oyster Grin

Bodenbabe · 28/11/2010 18:41

We loved Cold Feet at the time - I really should have paid more attention :)

Theresaholeinyourmind · 28/11/2010 18:43

Maybe you were in the kitchen making a cup of tea at the crucial moments, Boden.

PrairieOyster · 28/11/2010 19:01

I guess they just wanted a hunky lifeguard. I get the impression from the clips that he probably would only have had a couple of scenes per episode.

Bit of a turnaround now with James Nesbitt with respect to star billing!

Theresaholeinyourmind · 28/11/2010 19:12

Well, they got that, all right, Oyster.

The Hobbit should be a real Old Boys reunion.

asmallbunchofflowers · 28/11/2010 20:40

Oh Gawd, the Hobbit.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 28/11/2010 20:54

So how was Harry?

I found a little something for you, Flowers.

Different perhaps, but worth a look.

asmallbunchofflowers · 28/11/2010 21:03

Hmm. I have not read Harry's books and generally am MNing when Offspring watches the other films at home (we have them on long term loan from cousins). Consequently, I had no idea what was going on most of the time. And my short snooze probably didn't help.

And thank you for that lovely glimpse of My Man Thornton. I have always skipped that vid when it's offered because I was put off by the naff frame - and the images shooting across the screen are irritating - but there are some lovely shots there nonetheless. So thank you.

I'll see whether I can find a little something for you to reciprocate.

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 28/11/2010 21:10

I thought the good might go some way to compensating for the bad. You owe me a naff Guy vid now Grin

isn't too bad though it involves the infamous Marian kebab to borrow Boden's phrase.
asmallbunchofflowers · 28/11/2010 21:20

I can't make up my mind where this one would rank on the naffometer. There is a brief appearance by the baked bean tin armour, but it has . I like the one at about 30 secs where he is sitting on the parapet, looking over his shoulder at the fair Marian. Ooh. I see that shot is in your offering too.

Is my debt repaid or must I go down to the basement again?

Bodenbabe · 28/11/2010 21:30

I am really excited about The Hobbit. The Lord Of The Rings is one of my favourite books and I adored the films. I didn't enjoy The Hobbit quite as much but I think the films will be fantastic (I also love Martin Freeman). I can understand people not liking the books but I heart them.

Flowers, I fell asleep at the cinema last week (saw The Social Network).

Theresaholeinyourmind · 28/11/2010 21:39

99% of the Guy vids include the BBT armour, so maybe I should just shut my eyes for the odd second it's on.

Some very, very nice moments, I agree. The music I didn't care fore.

Now here's something different in that we don't pay enough attention to the divine
We really ought to, you know.

asmallbunchofflowers · 28/11/2010 21:42

Oh sorry, Boden, I didn't mean to diss anybody else's choices. But if I was asked to list 50 roles in which I'd like to see Mr Armitage, none of them would be as a dwarf in the Hobbit. But do go and have an ogle a scholarly appreciation on my behalf (although I'm sure we'll end up going because The Poet and Offspring will love it).

We're currently gathered around the fire, watching Robin Hood again. "Look mummy" says Offspring, pulling a lovestruck face "it's Richard Armitage". "Really darling? I hadn't noticed".

Bodenbabe · 28/11/2010 21:42

Lovely, Theresa! Some beautiful shots there And don't worry, I pay enough attention to Lucas for all of us :)

Bodenbabe · 28/11/2010 21:49

No worries, Flowers! You weren't dissing in any case, you were just expressing an opinion. I totally agree that it's not the sort of role I'd like to see Our Boy in and I can't imagine him being swoonworthy, so that will be a disappointment. But I would be excited to see the film anyway, regardless of RA - and I bet it will have some super opportunities for that there acting he does.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 28/11/2010 21:49

Boden, this is then.
Almost as scrummy as the first one. I adore him and his blue shirt, but most of his vids are so sad I can't watch them.

Bodenbabe · 28/11/2010 21:58

That was gorgeous, Theresa! I haven't seen that one before; thank you!! He's just so.... beautiful.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 28/11/2010 22:00

Looks like you ladies are getting busted one by one!

I have to admit I am not a Tolkien fan but would just have to watch The Hobbit out of pure curiosity.

asmallbunchofflowers · 28/11/2010 22:00

Very nice, Theresa. We even have Hugo Boss Lucas. But you're right. Knowing what eventually befalls Lucas makes them all unbearably sad.

Perfect music, from the lovely Matt.
Theresaholeinyourmind · 28/11/2010 22:04

Agree with you all the way on the sheer divine-ness of Mr North, Boden.Look at this and long to give him a big hug Pixy ears too.
