And here are our study materials for the evening. Not sure if we've had them before, but have tried to find new ones - is getting trickier Grin!

Enjoy!

How absolutely perfectly lovely, Flowers. So you weren't disappointed, then, or disillusioned.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 22/11/2010 00:09

MrsLN - We belong to lots of artsy-type orgnisations and are on dozens of mailing lists. But what finally made me pick up the phone was when Theresa mentioned the gala, so I am immensely grateful to her.

PrairieOyster · 22/11/2010 00:13

MrsLN - RA 's participation in the 24 hour plays was mentioned in the evening standard about three weeks ago. This is where having google alerts (yes I really am that sad) and being a member of a fan forum helps - coz those ladies are fast with the news.

Can I have one of those special Polish Cordial bottles instead, Flowers, if that's not too ungrateful. I'll throw in an autographed copy of this special report on medieval plumbing that I am compiling.

Oyster I take it that was not an ordinary bus. He'd never dare, not with us lot about!

MrsLucasNorth · 22/11/2010 00:17

It's no good - must at least attempt to go to bed now.

See y'all tomorrow folks!

Glad you had a lovely time Flowers.

Night Mrs Ln. No guessing what your dreams will be like tonight.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 22/11/2010 00:24

Right. Must go to bed. But no, Theresa, I was not disappointed. I have said from the start of these threads that I consider him a Proper Actor and would like to see him on stage. Even if The Rover doesn't now happen, I have done that. As I've also said ad nauseam I don't feel comfortable talking about Mr Armitage the person, rather than Mr Thornton the character, as that seems intrusive and he doesn't seem like the sort of person to welcome or invite that intrusion. But I do think he is an incredibly good sport to take part in a play whose central premise is that every man wants to look like Mr Armitage.

I'll leave you with possibly the best line from the play. At one point, he calls out, apparently randomly "Oh my God". "What's wrong?" asks his wife. His answer: "I just felt my pecs".

MrsLucasNorth · 22/11/2010 00:25

D'you know I haven't had a single dream about RA - ever Sad

Must try harder I guess...Grin.

Night, night!

Still green with envy...guh!

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 22/11/2010 00:30

Sorry, Oyster. I will shut up now.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 22/11/2010 00:34

I hear you, Flowers, I do agree with you about intrusiveness, and I do stick to the characters in my head. but it's just nice to know he's alive and well and as good an actor as we think he is. That was the main focus of my interest and questions tonight.

Love the line about the pecs.

I have never dreamed about RA but I have dreamed about Guy. I woke up thinking OMG, dammit I'm awake, went back to sleep and there he was again. Twice! Nothing thrilling happened, he was just there, but still.

No no big sword.

MrsLucasNorth · 22/11/2010 00:39

Wow Oyster - you are good - that was very quick off the mark.

Right, really am off to bed now

To sleep, perchance to dream...

Thanks, Oyster, that was quick work. I shall head off myself now. Goodnight
Night Flowers, sweet dreams

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 22/11/2010 00:44

That - apart from the overcoat - is what he was wearing. I think all the cast wore their own clothes (or swimsuit in the case of Kelly Brook but that's another story).

Really am shutting up and going to bed now.

A demain, oh naughty but inspirational ladies.

Can think of worse ways to start a Monday morning, Boden...
Anyway, back to RL and the school run for me...have a good day one & all!

OP posts:
BodenBabe · 22/11/2010 09:18

True, MrsLN, true.

ROFL this morning when MiniBoden asked "Mummy, are you in love with Lucas North?" :o

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 22/11/2010 09:26

Morning all.

Well, the Poet has told Offspring that we saw Mr Armitage in a play and then Mummy spent the second half ogling him. I dread to think what she'll be saying in the playground.

That blogger, Oyster, was obviously in the very posh seats. Up in the cheap (ha!) seats, we didn't get a pass for the after party. But we did get the cast sitting with us, so there were compensations.

Off now to Google some of the less recognisable (to me) names.

MrsLucasNorth · 22/11/2010 09:27

Grin Boden!

T'other day Miss North came out with, "Mummy, if you and Daddy were divorced would you marry Richard Armitage?"

She also made me change the Lucas pic on my phone for one of John Thornton!
