And here are our study materials for the evening. Not sure if we've had them before, but have tried to find new ones - is getting trickier Grin!

Enjoy!

Oh, am I the only one old and depraved enough to have watched SB as Lovelace? I only did it for Art, of course.

PrairieOyster · 21/11/2010 16:12

I really don't like that SB photo...

MrsLucasNorth · 21/11/2010 16:12

SB as Lovelace

...although tbh that's probably the reaction one should have to Lovelace...Hmm

Alternatively, there is Mr Bean as Mellors.

PrairieOyster · 21/11/2010 16:18

I did watch Clarissa with SB at the time - I do remember that, but I can't remember too much about it. It was available (and for all I know still is) on YT because I had a look for it at about the time that the Radio4 version was broadcast and posted a link to it on the IMDb RA board...BTW - take care if you ever go there...

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 16:20

Flowers I thought you had given up on those puns after the one track mind one.

So how would you rate Mr Armitage in pink and grey then? Avec lace cravet and shirt cuffs

good?

bad?

far too pretty?

etc

etc.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 16:22

Now, I never did like Mellors one bit, no matter who played him. I found him hugely creepy.

MadameOvary · 21/11/2010 16:26

Holy Shit a whole thread devoted to my husband favourite actor! How did I not know about this??? GrinGrinGrin

Don't have have time to immerse myself in it but have you seen this? Not exclusively RA but fabulously swoonsome nonetheless.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 21/11/2010 16:27

I know, I know. I did promise, but sometimes the urge to pun is just too great. Sorry.

Oyster - Thank you for the warning but I very deliberately confine my web witterings to MN and a couple of special interest boards. Besides, I think any of the Armitage boards would class me as a lightweight as my interest is really confined to N&S.

I think Mr Armitage in Lovelacian attire would be very fine. I doubt, though, that pink would be his best colour. Perhaps a steely blue?

PrairieOyster · 21/11/2010 16:29

Ah - Sharpe - I can relate to SB as Sharpe, though I was always a fickle viewer.

It never struck me before but [[http://www.canmag.com/images/front/bestdeath/boromir.jpg Boromir kind of reminds me of Guy of Gisborne.

PrairieOyster · 21/11/2010 16:31

Let's try that again

Boromir

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 21/11/2010 16:33

MadameOvary - Hello (and may I say that yours has long been one of my favourite MN names?) But I must ask: who are all those pretty boys cluttering up your vid? Other than Guy, Doctor Who and the vampire from Being Human were the only ones I recognised.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 16:36

Yes, on here I'll have you know our knickers are made of sterner stuff than you might think. They have had to be.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 21/11/2010 16:36

It's actually more of a cult. You can check out any time you like but you can never leave.

BodenBabe · 21/11/2010 16:38

Ugh, Boromir. Don't get me started on Boromir. He wanted to be like Aragorn but he failed dramatically.

PrairieOyster · 21/11/2010 16:47

I tend to approach multi fandom videos with extreme caution - you don't know what you're letting yourself in for - in this case the guy from Merlin with the ears made me smile (but not in a good way).

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 16:50

There is more than one thread too. They are spreading fast all over MN and may soon take over the world mwa ha haaa!

MadameOvary · 21/11/2010 16:55

Thank you for the welcome. I stand corrected Grin
I thought of Sean Bean too, esp after I saw RA on Between The Sheets where he does a Northern Accent.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 16:59

He often does a Northern Accent as Flowers will inform you PDQ, Madame O.
We tend to like it.
Have you heard his American accent, though?

MadameOvary · 21/11/2010 17:00

Other bods on the video were:
Colin Morgan as Merlin (cute but much much too young)
Burn Gorman in Torchwood (cant see it myself but a great character, well-acted)
Dude from Primeval in "Alice" US series(again cute in a pre-pubescent kind of way, but deffo not my type)

MadameOvary · 21/11/2010 17:02

An American accent? Nope, not so far I dont think. (Rubs hands together in delicious anticipation) I am a newbie where RA is concerned, soooo much to catch up on!

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 21/11/2010 17:06

No, no, MadameOvary. You are not corrected at all. One of the things I most enjoy about this thread is learning how, ahem, diverse are the tastes of the human libido heart. Welcome to we happy few, we band of sisters.

It is true indeed that . Amongst others.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 21/11/2010 17:08

I suggest then, MadameOvary, that you attend assiduously to all the links on this and its predecessor threads. An education awaits you. Wink

Personally, I liked the New Yoick accent but I was very much in a minority.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 17:12

You cana get it here MadameO. Scroll down to where it lists the mp3 file
