And here are our study materials for the evening. Not sure if we've had them before, but have tried to find new ones - is getting trickier Grin!

Enjoy!

Molasses YT again, I have started it up but will take a time.

Still thinking of some of the shots in the last one

I always liked the smirking ride-past

''I hate you, my lord''
and ''Give me strength''

I know it's funny, but still wibble -worthy.

You ladies are bad, the merest whiff of a double entendre held out to you and you leap upon it.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 23:35

Grin at Boden's wine description. Or was she talking about Guy himself?

Bodenbabe · 20/11/2010 23:36

Theresa, I don't know what you mean

really going to bed now.

Twitter Lucas luuuuuuuuuuuuuuurves me, ner-ner-ne-ner-ner...

I would remind you, Theresa, that I am a stern Victorian matriarch, keeping a vial of smelling salts and a violet-scented hankie in my reticule.

I have been thinking how best to answer your question about Mr Thornton and his naughtiness. He is a man of passion and imagination and that should, surely, serve him well in, ahem, any situation.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 23:43

Doing a bit of a smirk myself at Summer Nights. They had that sequence in there where Marion is on a grey horse and Guy caresses the horse's rump.

A wee bit of the humour was a tad schoolboy, otherwise, I absolutely loved it.Makes a change from my getting all maudin about the man.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 20/11/2010 23:47

''He is a man of passion and imagination ''

Well, that's all right then.

Talking of passion and imagination, my mind keeps runnung away with me re MrsLN's John Lucas stories and my requested scenario. No, Theresa you cannot write it yourself, that's against the rules.

''I must be dreaming'' she wibbled as she thought she saw a well-known black leather clad rump disppear round the corner at the end of the long hotel corridor.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 20/11/2010 23:55

I stand by my remarks, Theresa. His response to the riot demonstrates the first point and his opening a canteen for his workers demonstrates the second. Those are (I think the jargon has it) transferable skills. Ahem.

You really should do more creative writing of your own. That scene culminating in Mr Thornton's hot breath on my neck was in a league of its own.

More Polish cordial?

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 20/11/2010 23:58

Meant to add that I agree some of the Summer Nights humour was a tad puerile. You should have seen the one I discarded, which was basically one long fart joke.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 00:00

''Bugger'' She tripped and saw that her anachronisitc strappy sandal'' spiked heel has just ripped a hole in the hem of her best bliaut. Served her right for obsessing day and night about some fictional character in a kids' TV show . Her eyesight was finally going along with her mind

I am sure Mrs LN's version will be a lot better.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 00:06

Well as you see i did, er, carry on a wee bit. But I must leave the rest for Mrs LN

I did sort of engineer a hot breath scenario for myself with Guy once but it took several chapters before I could lure him to that point. Jeez...So I didn;t think it was worth writing it down.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 21/11/2010 00:06

Oh dear. Was that your sartorial mishap or FangirlTeri's?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 00:10

Well I suppose i was Teri's. I wouldn't obsess day and night about some fictional character in a kids' TV show, now would I?

Nor would I wear Jimmy Choos with a bliaut.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 21/11/2010 00:14

Oops, your later post answered my question.

What if it were a Versace bliaut? Would that not require Jimmy Choos?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 00:17

You have a point. I don't think Teri could afford designer unless she got it off eBay.
That's where she got the Jimmys

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 21/11/2010 00:19

Well, of course, all my shoes are of the plain and matronly type.

I must away to bed. I will see you on the morrow, perchance.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 00:21

My eyes are as bad as Teri's in the hotel. I am awa' tae ma bed, too.
Goodnight Flowers

PrairieOyster · 21/11/2010 10:44

Morning...I'm torn this morning...fangirls are tempting me to go to the 24 hour plays gala at The Old Vic tonight....what do I do?

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 21/11/2010 10:49

Morning all. Have just been awoken by The Poet showing me that Mr Thornton is top of Amazon's recommendations for bargain dvds. What a good man I married.

Right. Action-packed day ahead. To business. And speaking of business, let us contemplate the role of the successful Victorian entrepreneur in the industrialisation of the north.

Bodenbabe · 21/11/2010 11:18

Oh wow Oyster, if you can then go for it!! Then you can come back and tell us all about it!

Beautiful shot, Flowers.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 15:14

Another reason to steer clear of the Hollywood life-style and stay safe in the UK.

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 21/11/2010 15:38

Very wise counsel, Theresa.

We have just received this brief but learned article from the philosophy department:

"It takes more than just a good looking body. You've got to have the heart and soul to go with it." Epictetus

Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 15:47

Oh, I agree wholeheartedly. But some decent threads don't go amiss.

Shame about that particular body, though, I can think of a better one.

MrsLucasNorth · 21/11/2010 15:59

I'm with you Theresa. That's a bit Lovelace-esque isn't it...

OP posts:
Theresaholeinyourmind · 21/11/2010 16:05

It was Sean Bean as Lovelace, they did a production in the 90's according to Google.

Now him I would not have forgiven

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 21/11/2010 16:08

Sean Bean never fitted my mental picture of Lovelace. If we are going to play dress-up with Mr Bean, I think he can look sharper.

Geddit.
